The food was OK - but only OK. The barstaff were friendly and helpful. However, the landlord was a rude and unpleasant character and we will not be visiting again. We would not recommend.

Unfriendly, unhelpful, unsympathetic, bored disinterested staff, except for one younger member who did her best. Food indifferent. No concern for disabled client at all. Just don't bother.

Went for a Saturday lunch and ordered a House Burger, with extra mushrooms. The burger was really top notch (and it says it was handmade): an inch think, cooked to perfection (no pink inside, not burnt outside) and distinctively tasty. And the topping of two giant flat mushrooms was perfect. Good chips too. A sticky toffee pudding followed, which was... More

we recently had a meal at this old coach house and we were so impressed with the food and the young lady who ran all of front of house that we immediately booked for our golden wedding anniversary dinner. This dinner was for 13 people and all had free choice of their menu and at least 8 or 9 various... More

Superb service great banter with waitress/bar staff. Food served in a professional & timely manner despite it being a busy Sunday period. Staff were great with guide dog and fellow canines allowed in the bar area. In short will... More

We will never go back there again! It was a lovely spring day so thought lunch out would be nice, as the Frankling arms was just down the road from the Kia garage thought let's go there. The menu board looked promising. I ordered a jacket potato with cheese & coleslaw, my husband a Mary rose Prawn sandwich. What can... More

We were suggested that the Frankland Arms would be a good place for Sunday Lunch so I looked it up here and was disappointed by the reviews. Despite these we went anyway and can say the it is truly a lovely traditional country pub with a magnificent roaring fire, good food and attentive staff who bent over backward to make... More

I was attending a funeral at Worthing Crematorium and wanted a quick bite beforehand. I spent two evenings searching the net and it appears that whilst there are a lot of gastro pubs in this part of West Sussex they did not offer a traditional simple menu of soup, sandwiches and jacket potato. I was about to give up when... More

We decided last minute to visit the pub, my wife having had an excellent meal last December. We were not disappointed, the mushroom with stilton starter was delicious, and the burger one of the best I've had for years. The portions were extremely generous, I couldn't clear my plate for the first time ever! Service was excellent, and we had... More
