Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I visited on Sunday as part of a group of 13 cyclists. They were so organised, tables ready. The soup, sandwiches, scones and cake were excellent quality, good portions and well priced. Great service and speedy. Thank you. Gill Puffin Cycling

We are lucky enough to live in Gordon so visits to the lovely Gordon Arms is a regular for our family. Afternoon tea is delicious, portions are perfect and have enjoyed treating friends and family to this for all of our special occasions - the...gluten free option is also great, it doesn’t feel like you have compromised on this at all 👌 lunch menu, they have recently added a few more options on - my 2&4 years old both loved the macaroni cheese which we tried for the first time just last weekend and I’m looking forward to sampling the rest over the next few weeks. The home baking is delicious, we quite often take something away after our meal because I cant walk past their cheese scones! Love this place! Would recommend to anyone visiting the area.More

Our ladies group went for a Christmas night out. 18 of us. The food was freshly cooked and tasty. The two gluten free ladies were well catered for by friendly knowledgeable staff. The welcome starts as soon as you step through the door into the...tastefully decorated dining room. Great atmosphere and ambience. We discussed using the venue for future meetings of the ladies' group and Tara couldn't have been more accommodating and helpful. I can't wait to go back for another visit and I highly recommend the Gordon Arms for a tasty, freshly cooked and reasonably priced meal served by lovely friendly staff.More

Tara and her team at the Gordon Arms laid on an absolutely delicious selection of sweet and savoury food for my mother’s funeral tea. The catering was efficient, discreet and beautifully laid out. Tara complied with all my family’s requests (even though they were challenging...at times!) and nothing was too much trouble for her. She clearly communicated and discussed everything with us beforehand. Many of our guests made very favourable comments about the quality and wide variety of food available. I would highly recommend the Gordon ArmsMore

Coeliac heaven! So much choice for those that are gluten free with nothing being forgotten. I’ve had countless lovely lunches and afternoon teas here. A really good range of choice, even being offered white or brown gluten free bread which is normally unheard of. A...generous portion and so tasty! Lots of choice of cakes and traybakes also. They cater fantastically and my (also coeliac) four year old with children’s portions. I will be back again and again!More

Afternoon tea as a treat for my mum who was visiting, all of the food was absolutely delicious. However, was slightly taken aback at being charged an extra £9.00 as the four of us all had another cup of tea which we presumed would have...been included. Only one cup included in the price wasn’t really very much.More

Warm, welcoming, extremely talented and ambitious, Oksana, Brin (& their powerful wee team) will make you feel like a member of the family, though the experience is more like a luxury boutique hotel. Food: Creative menu built on the bedrock of locally sourced (Borders) ingredients...cooked with a delicate touch. e.g. scallops with curried lentils, both of which melted like butter with the perfect amount of warmth. When word gets out about the Gordon Arms, I hope we can still find a space!More

Heard of the Gordon Arms Gordon, Scottish Borders (not to be confused with another establishment with the same name in the Borders) when it won a small business award from our local MP, so thought let’s give it a try. Well the afternoon tea shared...with friends was fabulous. Superb sandwiches freshly made, quiche salad and delicious coleslaw and an ample range of lovely cakes with the obligatory scones with jam and cream. Mmmmmmmm. Thank you to the friendly staff. Will definitely be coming back.More
