I had booked in advance. Glad I did as was pretty busy. A few years since I had been there. Sunday lunch menu gave very good options. Not just the usual Sunday roast. I had the duck which was cooked beautifully Most of the others in my group had the beef which they said was delicious Though the portions were... More

26 of us (family and friends) went here for a 40th Birthday Party. We had the Reading Room all to ourselves which was great. The service from all of the staff was excellent and very friendly. Everyone was saying how much they enjoyed their meals. The 'Birthday Boy' had the Bronte Challenge and he finished every last bit, winning a... More

After our recent visit to The Bronte Steak House we would like to thank all staff, bar, restaurant and kitchen for our beautiful meal and service. Our party had popcorn chicken to start and was delicious. Mains consisted of Sirloin steaks, salmon and I had the homemade burger. All empty plates went back, food was delicious. We finished with beautiful desserts... More

Went there for a birthday party; hadn't been in years and remembered great things about it. The soup was the saltiest I have ever ever tasted; there were no other appreciable flavours. The burger was chewy nasty super processed meat on a dense dry bun. We asked for vinegar and ketchup with the main and it took 15 mins for... More

We went here on a Sunday afternoon for Sunday lunch. It was one of the worst experiences of my life and I left having eaten very little. To be fair they did offer to not charge me for one course because of this. The food was ordinary to say the least. The overcooked meat came smothered in gravy. I suppose... More

This was our first visit as a family. Staff extremely friendly and helpful. Orders were taken quickly in the waiting area and then we were showed to our table. It was our son's birthday and they surprised him with a candle in his dessert and singing happy birthday. It was such a lovely touch and he loved it. The food... More

Staff where helpful, Food was disappointing soup was overseasoned. the salty gravy which had been poured over the meals made them almost uneatable.. We have always got a great meal here in the pass. Felt very let down.

Bit unimpressed by the service. We had phoned and booked a table for 8.30pm. Arrived about 8.25 and we were seated in the bar ordered drinks and were given a menu. Our order was taken a good 15 mins later. It was about 9.10pm before we were taken through to the restaurant... Food came about 10 minutes later. I was... More

Service was average, (forgot our drinks order and didn't ask was our meal ok), popcorn chicken was a joke 4 finger nail size pieces of batter with next to no chicken for £6. Meal was expensive £24 for fillet and sides and sauces are extra. Meat was good and well cooked. There are too many good places to get average... More
