Guaranteed that you will never be disappointed here, once again a FAB lunch, the lamb is amazing but so is everything else on their extensive menu. We love the fact that they use local produce, everything is always beautifully prepared and served and the staff are FAB. Great selection of wines, gin and ales to suit all tastes. Always busy... This pub is a lovely place to visit as it's right next to the River, best seen in the daylight to appreciate the scenery but once it's dark,it's nice to go inside as there is a cosy log fire, it's a laid back pub with friendly staff. There is a good menu that can be viewed on line before you... More

Disappointed with the experience. All tables reserved in conservatory all other tables had dirty plates on so we squeezed onto a table. We ordered the salsa was chunks of tomato and pepper not nice. The rump sandwich had what was supposed to be onion chutney fried red onion with a weird taste. Husband had ravioli which was amazing but a... More

We went on our way back from Llangollen to Willington Lodge and arrived before 6pm as we guessed it would be busy after the nearby racing at Bangor-on-Dee finished. We had a lovely table with river view. The food was extremely good, but my only disappointment was the lack of local beers to try, in fact they had various choices... More

One of a few Brunning & Price establishments we use on a regular basis. Firstly, let me recognise that they are not cheap. However, provide reliably good quality food from a well balanced menu and the staff are always excellent. This time of year The Cross Foxes greets you with the warmth of an open fire and an equally warm... More

We went out to meet our good friend Toni Jones after my wife Lis recently had a hip operation. Toni had requested a table with plenty of room to enable Lis to get in and out easily on her crutches. We were welcomed in by the staff who were very attentive. We had main courses which were excellent and the... More

This is a lovely pub in a great setting. The staff were friendly efficient and attentive. The menu is a bit limited. The only chicken dish was served with pasta. No sirloin or rump steak and the ribeye was priced at £22. However, the food was lovely and was served quickly. The shock came when we got the bill. Drinks... More

Went for Sunday Lunch today. We really love this pub, and we have had countless lovely roast dinners there. I don't know if today was just an oversight. I had the beef and my daughter had the pork, my husband had the steamed game pie. My meal came and it looked gorgeous and the food was really good quality but... More
