Well, what can I say...... Food was phenomenal, I had the steak & ale pie which was amazing followed by the sticky toffee pud & ice cream. Second time visiting and both experiences were first class. (By the way the portions are generous.) If you are in the area make sure you have cash on board your person and pop... More

Wonderful food with huge portion sizes. I would advise booking as it seemed very popular even though we were there late afternoon. There is a large variety of dishes to choose from.

I am partial to a bit of fish, and my daughter took me out to try the fish at the ffrwd. Fresh, tasty and full of flavour. I recommend you try the pan fried halibut with king prawns and garlic butter.

A great place to go for food and a chilled out of town atmosphere. We are local but always book given it's usually full of reserved tables, which is a good sign. The fish pie is delicious and rammed full of fresh fish; my husband had fish and chips - the fish was enormous and the chunky chips yummy! Sunday... More

We had an excellent meal at the Ffrwd on Friday evening but unfortunately there was no atmosphere as there was only another party in. If they lowered their prices by £2.00 per dish, provided a written menu, and stop the ridiculous card charge it would improve the footfall. Unfortunately I will not be recommending this restaurant as you have to... More

I've lived in the area for nearly 3 years and visit the Ffrwd every couple of months. I've never had a bad meal here and everyone who I've brought here for food has said how impressed there were. Even better now the owners have modernized the interior. The food is what I'd call amazing home cooking rather than fancy restaurant... More

We had a variety of meals that were of consistently good quality and all meals were served at the same time. Superb service from the delightful staff and the meals were top notch. Highly recommended - especially after the refurb.

Called on way back from a day out, rang in advance to book an early table, a few people already there . Recently refurbished and tastefully done. Ordered halibut and colcannon with lemon/parsley sauce and a streak pie and chips Both arrived piping hot and both absolutely delicious, the fish perfectly cooked, the steak pie according to my husband the... The food, roast beef, was very good and exceedingly large portions with plenty of veg and potatoes, service was with a big smile and the staff exceedingly pleasant. I was surprised at having to pay when ordering and disappointed at the £2.50 charge for using a debit card. That was the only downside to our visit.
