The surroundings were very nice, the staff were very attentive, the presentation and quality of the food was fair but the whole visit was spoilt because of how cold the premises were which consequently made our food go very cold quite quickly. Sadly the staff or management were unresponsive to the points that we had raised. Our bill was in... More

The food and service were very good for all of us - 11 in the party. The food was hot and tasty and there was plenty of it. Service was good - obviously a wait for preparation but it all arrived together and was piping hot.

Great food and a loverly atmosphere. The Lamb Sag and the chicken stuffed with mince meat (Thawe?) was absolutely delicious, along with chicken madras we had a fantastic meal yesterday evening.

We come here maybe a few times a year only because of the distance and with having young kids, but every time we are greeted at the door by the friendly staff food arrives in good time and always tastes great.

We were 8 people with three toddlers and we were very welcome by the owner. The food for the Christmas Day was superb and we have decided to go there every year with the family. A wide choice of good quality food .

Well, what can we say, What a lovely meal from Raj and all the staff once again! Excellent friendly service, and a great atmosphere. We use the Indian cottage twice a week for takeaways, and have been customers for 12 years or more! Child friendly, spotlessly clean, excellent food and service, what more could we want. Thanks again to Raj... More

Excellent and professional service Maln ingredients actually curried individually and not previously cooked and then served with the same sauce dumped over it with a few additions to vary the dish title ie it's not curry sauce and meat but curried meat I have eaten curry all over Asia and Europe including Brick Lane and SparkBrook and this is as... When this restaurant first opened it was second to none, fantastic couldn't fault it, then after a few years it sadly went down hill, but then it bounced back, but what's going on, awful meal the other night, poor quality meat, back down again, our takeaways also have been poor lately, also not many people in restaurant and its December!!!... We often meet friends here as a midway point, but we all travel quite a distance to get here. Not worth it for the food this time. As mentioned previously, you start off with ice cold ale, great temperature for lagers, not for ales. The poppadoms arrived but were not nice - a strong taste of old well- used oil.... More

Management response:

We are very sorry for your bad experience at our restaurant,we tried to the best of our ability to satisfy you and your friends, despite our upmost efforts to satisfy you. It seems that you were unhappy with your experience unlike the thousands of satisfied customers who eat and drink with us every year More

Having now re-visited the restaurant twice in the past two weeks, I am pleased to say that it is now back to it's full glory under the watchful eye of Raj, the owner. Four of us visited last night and the food and service was excellent. Two of us had the bhuna and the chicken Balti was also ordered with... More
