Dropped in here on a walk from Burford. Good beer, lovely modern conservatory overlooking the garden.

This was a rustic pub with great food and service. The pub has been there for so long the stone floor has wear patterns from all of the foot traffic over the centuries. Our food was good and the ale was even better.
We decided to take a drive out for a winters lunch. We have been to the swan before and wanted to try it again for lunch. On arrival the pub was buzzing with post Christmas visitors and walkers. The welcome was cheery and polite even though they were being rushed off their feet. Our pre booked table was ready and... More
I had been told about the Swan by a close friend over a year ago!! But never managed to make it over to see just how spectacular it really is. I arrived there around midday a couple of months back, with a great friend of mine. And much to our delight when we pulled up and saw the stunning location,... More

We had lunch with family and had very good food off a varied menu offering some staples but also some more interesting alternatives. Service was very good, warm and friendly. Well worth a visit whether for the food or The Mitfords or both!
Don't know why this restaurant isn't rated at the top. It was absolutely wonderful! The Eton Mess for desert was about the best thing ever, and the breakfasts were fabulous.
I just called in on Saturday morning with an elderly friend for a cup of coffee and we were made very welcome and well provided for. Old building with steps and uneven floors but very atmospheric.
Dear Freda, We are very pleased to hear that you had very enjoyable cup of coffee on our company , we hope to see you again very soon Kind Regards Daniel Manlup General Manager More

They kindly gave us the table I wanted and... More
