I think they must water-down their ales. I had a pint of the Cumberland and even though it's officially listed as being weak at 4%, mine tasted far weaker than this and much blander than it usually does elsewhere. It was more like flavoured water....More

Stayed for one night at the end of a holiday. 
 The food is of a very high standard (amazing gluten free pancakes for breakfast!) and the bar itself was very homely too. The locals were so friendly and welcoming. Lovely!

Ate here with family a couple of days ago. The building has been 'renovated' but remains a barn of a place..very cold to sit & eat in..they have however put some small Chesterfield sofas in part of it which are comfortable and look very nice....More
