I am always surprised in a good way by this nice place. I had the pleasure to sample one of their specials, lobster thermidor, was amazing, compliments to the chef. Great atmosphere and friendly staff. Will return.

I cannot rate this pub restaurant highly enough. The food was tasty, hot and plentiful, staff were efficient and friendly and choice of food was just right. Will definitely return!

Quaint village put. Quite lovley. Nice selection on the menu, and really nice quality. Very good value and worth a visit. The pub is well located with good parking. I will return.

Popped in here as the A1(M) southbound was blocked....looks nice from the outside. Nice beer available but served by a barmaid who could not even speak basic English... There were no locals present which is always a give away. I would not advise this one....More

Located in the picturesque village of Wansford, nine miles from the city of Peterborough, The Paper Mills Country Pub and Restaurant offers hearty food in a charming rural setting whether you are looking for a relaxed drink and classic pub grub in the bar or a more formal dining experience in the restaurant. In the winter while away a chilly evening by our roaring fire with a pint of our real ale and in the summer enjoy a chilled glass of rose amidst the historic charms of Wansford in one of our many outdoor seating areas. The stone-built rustic surroundings serve to enhance the locally sourced seasonal menu and carefully chosen selection of cask ales and fine wines creating a welcoming atmosphere for both locals and visitors. Food Served Monday to Saturday 12noon-2.15Pm and 6.00Pm-9.00Pm and Sunday from 12noon - 4pm. Our Head chef creates an extensive menu that epitomises country pub dining. Changed daily to ensure that you receive the best of the seasons. There is something for all tastes, from succulent belly of pork to delicate whole plaice. We work closely with our suppliers, who are committed to provenance and fair trade to bring only the best produce to your plate. The bar features a great choice of real ales and wines. We provide a selection of local ales from local suppliers such as Digfield and Oakham. Our resident ale is London Pride which is extremely popular with our locals. We are always searching for new and interesting wines from many local wine merchants creating an extensive wine list with something for every pallet.
