Lovely pub, small quaint just what was needed for a Sunday lunch! We shared two starters, the whitebait and calamari which was lovely and some bread and oils! We then had a main each, the burger was one of the nicest I've had in a...More

Visited recently and paid over £4 for a pint of lime and soda water - when I challenged this price I was assured that it was made with "Special water"... I may have been born in the day - but it wasn't yesterday 😎 The...More

Ben We have recently this week taken over trigs business and I can assure you a lovely pint of Lime and Soda is a staggering £2.40 !!! So I can only presume it was the previous owner who apparently charged this price. We look forward...More

Called in whilst passing and enjoyed very tasty roast sirloin of beef with all the trimmings. Excellent roasties and fresh vegetables. Understand it is to be refurbished but hope the chef remains. Would return if in the area.

We called in for dinner on a Monday and had some really excellent fish, Charlie who seemed to do everything apart from the cooking was just brilliant! A real pleasure to find a young guy who obviously loved his job and did it fantastically well.

Friends and I have been to this pub on a few occasions and visited again recently on a Saturday. We were surprised to find it very quiet and were concerned that standards had fallen. However, we need not have worried. The £7.50 lunch specials are...More

Like most people I'll eat in pubs and have eaten here. It was OK, nothing to shout home or complain about. But why do the management here and others insist on making their pubs feel like you are not welcome to drink alone? Like the...More
