Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We broke down outside this establishment today while delivering. They offered us to come in sit while waiting for the recovery. They were amazing hosts and looked after us more than expected. Every single staff member were very kind and made the place feel at...home offering us a bite to eat ( which was delicious) and beverages. Cant thank them enough and really appreciate their hospitality.More

Decided to go here for a family meal last weekend and was extremely disappointed in the service we received. We had pre-booked a table for 5 people but when we arrived there was no table ready for us. When we were eventually seated and the...table sorted, the owner immediately asked for our drinks order but we never received a menu for food or drinks. We sat for 25 minutes before I eventually had to ask for the menus. The menus that were then presented were extremely limited and had no description as to what the dishes actually were. We then sat for a further 20 minutes without anyone approaching us to take our food order or deliver our drinks (45 minutes after entering). When the owner eventually came to our table, we explained that we were very dissatisfied by the length of time we had waited to which the owner nervously laughed. We waited for a total of 50 minutes altogether with no drinks delivered or order taken. Absolutely shocking service and will definitely not be back!More

Unfortunately we have to give a very bad but honest review of our first and last visit to this restaurant. We visited on Mother’s Day ( carvery) Set price £24 adults and £5 kids under 5. Disaster. No bread on the table for soup until...we asked for it. Soup tasted like packet soup! Main meal. Three choices of meat which were okay. The veg, where do I begin? Aunt Bessie’s roast potatoes and disgusting. Carrots were definitely frozen as they were rubber and hard to taste. Cauliflower was okay and peas. No Yorkshire pudding when I went up? Gravy and that was that! Certainly not enough veg to choose from . Desert was worse. Tiny meringues filled with cream. Slices of cake and once again was not replenished! According to the owner there was apple pie etc but I did not see any at all! The owner was hugging and greeting all her friends on leaving but we left without any acknowledgment at all. A disgrace! On messaging the owner to explain and give private feed back as I didn’t want to be unkind by highlighting it on trip advisor. She replied back stating they had deaths in the family and illnesses etc. Not sure how this connects with bad quality food ? Meant to also mention the crockery was like school dinners? This is only our opinion and it’s a very honest opinion. We would never set foot in this establishment again ! You don’t deserve to get trade. Donna HMore

Very good food. A notch above normal pub grub. Pity it was empty on a Saturday evening. Would thoroughly recommend for a very good evening meal at reasonable prices.

Lovely little place. We were staying up the road at beech hedge caravan park so decided to venture the 5 minutes to anglers inn. Huge portions. Great value for money. We were lucky to get there before the "kids eat free" ended so that saved...us nearly £20 on the bill which was brilliant! Our waitress (sorry I didn't get your name, our son threw a spoon to you from under the chair) was brilliant! Would definitely visit again if in the area! So reasonably priced for the amount of food you get and plenty on the menu for everyoneMore
