Food was edible but not fresh and tasty as expected with a No1 rating and it was expensive for what we got.

Not even close to being the best in Shetland let alone in Britain, if all the other fish and chip shops in shetland were to enter the competitions that Frankies enter frankies would come last in Shetland No quality in the food at all it is just pure grease

Came here on the first day of a weekend visit to the Shetland Islands. We were lucky to get a table so if you want to eat in it is best to book as they don't have many tables. Food was freshly cooked and very tasty. So good that we returned the next day for a take away lunch. My... More

Visited here for lunch and was amazed at how busy it was. If you want to sit in then I'd strongly recommend a booking. We were squeezed into a 45min window between bookings! Another piece of advice - check the specials as there's a wide variety of unusual items for a chip shop. I missed seeing battered monkfish and kicked... More

Called in for lunch, 4 of us all had different, I had Breaded Haddock and it was the best I have ever had. Service brilliant, food even better. only draw back a long way to go from Devon for fish and chips.

Have had one good meal out this place in the past 2 years and that when I was sitting in. My friend is up visiting from the mainland, so thought we had to take him to the so called best chippy in the U.K. 2015... Normally I would just bite my tongue and just get on with it, but yesterday... More

We had seen this place on the map but not read any reviews. So we went with open minds and empty stomachs. The fish and chips were quite excellent, and as others have stated, the mushy peas come with maximum nostalgia. Reading a couple of the negative reviews, one from someone who apparently arrives after hours and the other from... More

Having read about this place in my inflight magazine, my colleague and I decided we had to try it. Situated in Brae, between our 2 work sites we got the chance to pop in for tea on Thursday night. Unfortunately we were in a rush so we had to order takeaway, but the small cover restaurant was busy enough and... More

Great service, staff friendly. The location is beautiful, get an amazing view from the cafe. Fish was delicious and the batter was perfect. Chips were non- greasy, although I'd have preferred if they were crispier.

Great choice of menu, tasty food but seating area very small some outside seating which would be popular in good weather. Very busy.
