Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This was our go-to eatery in Stung Treng where options are limited. Food is quick, simple, tasty, and cheap. Location not the best, however.

We had breakfast and lunch here and the menu choices were OK. Quite a lot of European style foods so if you are after a taste of home a good choice. The Cambodian options were a little bland. Good service.

Four of us stayed in Stung Treng for a week and a half, working, and we ordered breakfast for 07:00 every morning. We also tried some lunch and dinner options, and it was always on the good side, especially comparing to the competition on the...western food front. Very helpful and speaks english. Dont miss the Indian and Cambodian food either, esp. curry.More

Blink and you would miss this small place next to the massive market. It is great though. It does feel a bit like to you eating in their family home (which to be fair you are) but the quality of the food is excellent. We...had the non veg Thali twice it was so good. With a particular shout out for the dhal, which was delicious. Try itMore

If you find yourself craving some Indian food, definitely stop in to Ponika's. The dal curry is spiced wonderfully & add some steamed rice for a filling meal at a great price.

I arrived to Stug Treng on 22nd April, 2019. It was lunch time and I was feeling hungry. I searched the whole city and finally found this restaurant which is run by a Local Khmer who can prepare Indian Cuisine. I had my lunch ,...dinner and next morning breakfast in this restaurant. They try thier level best to prepare sub-continental food which seems to be reasonable one in Stung Treng. There is no other option for Indian food lovers. Food and service is reasonable.More

We booked a trip from stung treng to Don Det there. We asked for the name of the transport company, but they told us it was not available. The drive we booked through this place arrived 40 minutes late. Going through the laotian border, the...driver threatened to leave us there. He dropped our bags off the bus. If I hadn’t paid attention, he would have left, leaving us stranded there. We paid a ticket to Don Det, and we had to pay for the boat from Nakasan to Don Det. I took a picture of the driver as a proof but he tried to hit me. I definitely advise you not to book through this place, but to be honnest i would rather have complained against the transport company than them acting-out as a travel agency. In the restaurant itself, the food was ok. Quantities were sufficient and it looks clean (What is already a lot in stung treng)More

We went there because the place had a good review but were highly disappointed with what was served. We had ordered Dal Makhani, till now I have not figured out what was served- microwaved bread and some dark paste that had no taste or texture....Perhaps cook needs to Google what Dal looks like.More

In Google this place is known as Stung Treng Burgers but it is actually Ponika's Palace. Even Trip Advisor has it wrong. Family owned, it has an extensive menu of local, Western and Indian food. I chose a local dish called Lak Lak. It was...good. The restaurant opens at 06:30 in the morning so for a cyclist like me that is superb. I can get a decent breakfast before heading out for a long day's cycle.More

We ate here for every meal over a few days. The food was consistently great, generous portions and very suited to western palates. Service was always with a smile. Highly recommend!

The food is just bad, but the problem with ST is, that there is only bad food. So it actually doesn't matter where you go, the goal can only be to not being hungry anymore.
