Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Visited qs a family on a quiet Tuesday night. Food was fantastic, and the service was warm and attentive. Particularly jealous of my Brother's mixed grill which was loaded with meat, although my bhuna was delish too!

We were staying at a near by hotel & didn't fancy eating in the restaurant. We were so glad we didn't as we wouldn't have a stonking good curry! Great value for money, decent portions (I actually left some rice Staff very pleasant. Nothing more...to say except if you are thinking of going... GO!More

We had the banquet for two. What a feast! All delicious. Including drinks and poppadoms it cost just over £50.00. 2x starters 2x curries, 1x side, 1x naan, 2x rice. The lamb and chicken were so tasty and tender. Well worth a visit.

The food here is amazing. I opted for chicken balti with pilou rice. My other party guests had chicken tikka massalla. King prawn biriyni and lamb jalfrazi. We also had a portion of onion bhajis. The staff are very welcoming and friendly.

Food was really fresh and utterly delicious - I had a King Prawn Jalfrezi and it was packed with big prawns. Both my Husband and I loved the food, it was very authentic, would definitely recommend.

Can not fault the staff very pleasant and the food is great would definitely go back for a takeaway. But unfortunately the surroundings let's it down it just looks tired the carpet needs taking up chairs need replacing and get rid of the brackets off...the walls where the blinds used to go I wouldn't rush back to sit in but will definitely get a takeawayMore

Visited for an evening meal. Very nice place, and the service was good. Food was really tasty, and lots of it. We brought loads away with us. I had Malay chicken, which I love but can’t get in my local Indian and it was so...good. The staff were friendly and efficient. Would highly recommend.More

We celebrated a birthday with a meal here and everything was very enjoyable. We sat in with plenty of table space and airy surroundings. It was busy but we were served quickly and efficiently. Plenty to choose from on the menu and everyone thoroughly enjoyed...their food.More

Unfortunately one of the worst Indian takeaways I’ve had for a long time. They might as well have labelled the dishes red or yellow as they both tasted very similar, not of very much at all. The chicken seemed to be reasonable quality but certainly...haven’t been cooked in a tandoor. It’s okay if you’re really hungry or drunk and fancy a quick curry, but not for me thanks, I’ve had much better from the supermarket.More

Good, but don’t have the calamari, the calamari were so hard I hurt my teeth trying to eat them, they were as hard as or if not harder than a stick, inedible. The rest of the foot was nice, we didn’t recieve the salad to...go with one of the dishes but we can cope without that.More

Just had a delivery from Jaipur … just a little late but I can live with that. The chicken vindaloo was fabulous, plenty of succulent chicken and the sauce was amazing! And plenty of heat! Pilau rice was plentiful and fluffy and all the dishes...were lovely and hot. Garlic Nan could have done with a bit more garlic but soft and hot! All in all I thoroughly enjoyed my delivery! Thank you Jaipur Spice!More

Food was average but my main complaint was the table service which was beyond dreadful. In any other restaurant then taking your order, let alone serving your food'n'drink, is generally done by someone standing close to each guest in turn. Here it is done by...the waiter shouting across the table at each guest. God forbid you are in conversation. When the food/drinks arrive then its the same. Waiter stands in one place and reaches over everything. Bit like a trough and shovel. The young waiters seemed much better, unfortunately we got the 'experienced person'. We did comment and ask that he didn't sprawl himself in front of us. It fell on deaf ears. Not been for 10 years and will not go back in the coming decade DreadfulMore

We were on holiday in the area and celebrating our 10th wedding anniversary, we came here for our meal and we are so glad we did. We had a lovely large table set in the corner with views over the restaurant, we ordered poppadum's and...dips whilst looking at the menu, I had a house red wine which was a generous size glass and hubby had an Indian lager. We ordered starters which were large and freshly cooked and really tasty then onto mains, we each had a curry from a large choice on the menu, rice and naans and onion bhajis, the whole meal was superb and we really enjoyed our evening. When we left we both agreed we couldn't have eaten another bite, we were so full. If we lived locally we would be back.More

Reference to this being a flagship restaurant must be largely historic. Some serious refurbishment is well overdue and the interior lacks the ambience you expect from an Indian eaterie. I am probably being a tad mischievous in saying there is a touch of Fawlty Towers...about the place ..no grumpy Basil but the waiters gave the impression of being rather uncoordinated. There was no buzz or vibe ..a little background music at the very least would have helped! In fairness, times have been tough for the hospitality industry with COVID and finances have been squeezed. This is a large restaurant that has no doubt seen better days. We were two of a very small number of diners and this was in a Friday night. On the positive side there was a healthy flow of customers collecting take-aways which, perhaps, is not surprising because (1) people’s eating habits have changed dramatically in the last 18 months due to the pandemic and (2) the food is EXCELLENT ..thus the 4 stars. One tip – check the price of pappadoms before you order!More
