Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Foccacia sandwiches are the best I've ever had! The brownie was so good we bought extra to take away. Range of alternative teas was a treat, a d the attentive service finished off a lovely lunch.

A lovely little bakery cafe in the community building (also dog friendly so a huge bonus).
Super friendly staff, beautiful location, and surrounded by stunning artwork from a local artist.
The scones were simply amazing served with butter and jam. Highly recommend!

We were delighted to stumble upon this café to shelter in for a while on a very blustery day! Delicious baking and an extensive selection of herbal and loose leaf teas. We had a cinnamon bun and chocolate cake with cream; both of which were excellent! Thank you for the tea recommendations too.

Nothing like the hype reviews or the Facebook photos. The cafe is quaint shared with a corner Post office but that’s where it ends.
The menu is minimalist with nothing like the webpage. The food menu on the blackboard was mostly not available. Don’t expect any wide range of baking apart from a few cinnamon buns in a grubby display cabinet.
Coffee was ok but not worth the drive.
There was only one sandwich available at 11:30 and a 45 minute wait on any other order, subject to the oven bake capacity.
Nowhere near a 5 star.

Stopped in for a coffee and a cake.
Had a cinnamon bunny. Very tasty and good coffee. Pleasant staff and nice clean place.
Needs a better sign out at main road junction.
Next to Grimsay boat museum which shows boats built by true craftsmen. We'll worth a visit.

The photo for this bakery shows an amazing chocolate tart with berries and fresh poured cream. We got the chocolate tart with a squirt of cream from a can so were somewhat disappointed. The lady serving us didn't seem very happy or chatty so it lacked a welcoming atmosphere.

The coffee was excellent and the home made scone with homemade Apricot Jam was amazing. So glad we came across this little gem .

Tried several things and everything was so tasty. Great and friendly service too. Wish it was closer to home or I would be back to get some more tomorrow!

This fabulous local firm make Scandinavian bakery treats (cinnamon rolls etc) and lovely sourdough bread. You need to order in advance from their website and then collect when the order is ready from the house in Lochboisdale
This means you need to be a little bit organised but it is well worth the forethought and the ordering process was really simple. Highly recommended.
