Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We stayed in an airbnb about 10 metres from this place so had to call in to try it! Well I' so pleased we did, their coffee was the best we had in our whole week long trip to Scotland, absolute 10/10! Lovely selection of...cakes and light bites with some vegan options too. The female member of staff (owner?) was so friendly and lovely too, made us feel very welcome! Thanks again.More

Great wee cafe and open on a Sunday. Went there after visiting the lighthouse. We had one of the best coffees outside of New Zealand and the slices were different to the usual slices you see in other cafe's in Scotland and were so delicious.

This is a real gem, colourful looking place with a variety of tables, sofas and separate little rooms. It really is the heart of the local community, located in the community centre. They serve an assortment of hot and cold drinks, cakes, sandwiches, pies and...soup. The atmosphere is great, no loud music. Loads of things for sale from local artists, foodstuff, t-shirts and hoodiesA really relaxing place with super friendly staff. .More

Great wee place to stop and have a tea/coffee roll and bacon and cakes. Next stop on way back to ferry is salen jetty shop. I've sampled both and wasn't disappointed. I just love the ardnamurchan peninsula and have been going there for about 50...years. Seen many changes but the wee eateries were badly needed. Well done both establishments. Highly recommended Billy from AirdrieMore

Having been there on previous trips, we were more than happy to call in again. However after waiting for nearly 30 minutes (with our drinks) we realised that our food order had been forgotten. We told the front of house staff, and the order was...sent through to the kitchen again. The toasties, when they arrived, were very nice. But we didn’t receive an apology or any update as to what was happening with our delayed order. Nor did we receive any gesture such as a complimentary cup of tea while we waited (that’s what I would have done). We could have left as valued customers, but we didn’t.More

Not the cheapest (coffees were £2.80 and my tea £2.05) but a well-placed café just 5 mins from the Kilchoan ferry. Sells craft too. Obviously used by locals which is a nice thing to see in a sparsely populated area, making it a true community...hub.More

We visited the coffee shop a few times enjoying coffee ,cakes and toasties all served with a smile and chat Wifi was useful as well. Not easy to keep a place like this ticking over as planning for visitors must be a real challenge particularly...over last couple of years . Definitely worth a visit if in the areaMore

Small café at the village community centre, with picnic tables outside. Efficient service, nice atmosphere, reasonable prices (especially considering the remoteness) and a melt-in-the-mouth triple cheese toastie. The fruit scone with clotted cream was also delicious. Very enjoyable!

Run by a charming couple, excellent coffee and a wealth of other things to buy inside. Handy for a quick stop getting on / off the ferry to Tobermory or en-route for any local walks - well-worth a special trip. If staying locally, order your...'artisan' bread on a Tuesday to collect on a Wednesday. Right next door to the Community Center which contains: showers, amazing geological model of the area, local crafts and walking guides / local history books.More
