Very disappointed. The grilled lapas were to tuff. Not suppose to. Sent it back, asked for menu, informed straight away “ kitchen is closing” It says closes at 3pm not really, sending people away at 2.30pm with empty tables. Service very rushed. No return

This was our favorite restaurant in Madalena, Pico. So good we went twice! Every aspect of our meals was perfect. Loved the local cheese and honey, tuna bites, limpets, sausage and the passion fruit mousse. We highly recommend the local Terras de Lava Reserva red...wine.More

We got the all you can eat menu, it had a good variety of dishes, meat, fish, seafood, pasta, rice, etc... Everything was fresh, and the staff is friendly with a great mood!

very nice - we went there way too early, so we were the only guests for a while. even when more and more guests came the waitress took her time to explain the menu, the wines, all the possibilites. the food was delicious, nicely prepared...- even the bread was special. we will definitely be back !More

Ate here a number of times (both lunch and dinner) during a c. 10 day trip to Pico. Service was always very friendly, the food good and the prices pretty reasonable (inc. some quite decent wine by the glass). More relaxed/casual than formal as restaurants...go and that suited me just fine. Would happily recommend. N.b. Would strongly suggest booking a day or so in advance to be sure you get a table - particularly in high season it can get quite busy.More

I have visited Pico Island several times over the years and have tried restaurants in every part of the Island. There is nothing that quite matches this one. First off, the restaurant workers are so friendly that each time I visited I felt as if...I was family. The food at this restaurant had a great variety and was delivered fast. My favourite things to order are the salada de polvo (octopus salad) and the morcella (blood sausage). Yes, there may be restaurants on the water, but I can guarantee you none of those has a warm atmosphere or delicious foods that compares to this restaurant.More

Ate here several times while on Pico, for both lunch and dinner. Excellent food and very friendly service (and fast, but never rushed). Food Prices middle of the range for Madalena (and also has some decent wine by the glass at very reasonable prices -...and I like my wine!). Highly recommended, but strongly advise booking a table (even if only the day before), even if you are just a couple/solo diner, to avoid having to wait a while if you are to get a seat or even be turned away as the restaurant is too full.More

We came for lunch, got recommendation from the team at the Pico wine winery. And they were so right! Excellent service, with a big smile. We selected from the menue but there is also a buffet option with fixed price. We took the grilled stake...that they highly recommended the stake that is from local Azorian product. It was made perfectly (mid-rare) with wonderful pepper dressing and home made maio. If we would stay hear one more day...we would returnMore

Low key vibe to this small, intimate restaurant, with dining indoors and on a porch. Super Fresh Seafood, cooked delectably. Be sure to leave room for lemon meringue pie for dessert!
