Good tasty food, good selection on menu of chicken lamb and beef. We had beef, very tasty, good selection of vegetables plus potatoes roast and parsnips. All cooked well. Followed by stickt toffee puddy and custard. Staff very cheerful and attentive. Will be going again.

Great dog friendly pub with a nice vibe. Excellent food and staff. Only complaint is people sitting and standing at the bar making it difficult on times to get a drink. One of my pet hates in a pub.

A delightful traditional pub just off the canal, which offers a wide range of food and beer. The food is basic, no-nonsense pub grub that leaves you satisfied with its hearty portions. All served in a cosy atmosphere - would definitely visit again.

There are dog bowls outside and there is a large outdoor seating area but not sure if dogs are allowed inside. Best to ring if you want to take your dog into the pub.
Do you serve a bar menu on a Sunday or just Sunday roasts?

Hello. I should imagine it would be wiser to telephone and book as I expect it will be a busy night. I doubt if they will put on any special extra as it's not that sort of place. good luck and enjoy. Bye

WE ARE A FAMILY RUN, CHILD AND DOG FRIENDLY COUNTRY PUB. We offer choice of 4 real ales, a smooth ale, 4 lagers (2 premium) and 3 ciders on tap with a good variety of bottled ciders, soft drinks and alcohol free lager. Our food dose not claim to win prizes, but its good quality, good portion size, and freshly cooked (and it won't break the bank) so some times a small wait is inevitable but hopefully worth it. The atmosphere is warm welcoming and cosy with a wood burner one end and an open fire the other which we light when its miserable and cold outside which is most of the year. The pub is open from 12 noon every day all day, and closes around 10pm in the week, then around 12pm weekends. Sunday and Monday we serve food 12pm till-3pm ONLY (no evening meals) Every other day its 12pm till 2pm then 6pm till 8.30pm looking forward to seeing you Soon
