We were on our way out after visiting the monastery and wanted 1 last beer. We walked around the left corner of the restaurant and to the patio area. There were not many people there so we did have to look for a waiter. He was friendly and chatty and provided great service. We could have stayed in this relaxing... More

We started here and had some of the best food. There was a pig knuckle (Schweinshaxe) that was amazingly good. It is a huge portion and 1 is enough to share. They also have beer here. You can try whatever they are serving. The one thing I was not expecting is the size and amount of tourists here. They can... More

I LOVE Andechs! Honestly the best beer (doppelbock Dunkel) I have ever tasted. The weather was perfect to sit in the garden, enjoy the beer with a pretzel and over look the Bavarian hills. I recommend the cream cheese with the radish, it's really tasty. I must go back here some time soon; it's perfect!

A wholly delicious meal, served in a fine dining arrangement. The beer was divine, and an excellent reason to pay them a visit. Excellent Bavarian cuisine.

Great place for a group meal. There were eight of us for evening dinner. After taking a stroll up to the top of the hill to view the monastery we arrived in the Restaurant. The service was good throughout with the staff quick to sort drinks…of course the ‘local’ beer is very good. The majority of us had the roast... More

This is the best day trip there's no guide just a train ticket. It's unrushed you have a great view great food and you can take a private bus down to the lake and spend time there also. We found this through our guide from Radius tours - Thanks Achem

Some of the finest beers i have ever come across (not forgetting the organic pork) in a great setting, a look inside the chapel is a must. Close to the town of Herrshing which has hotels on the lake all serving great food and beer

we visited this Restaurant on June 04, 2015 with friends. You have to climb a steep hill to get there. They have indoor and outdoor seating. On a clear , beautiful sunny day which we enjoyed, you want to sit outdoors under one of the huge old trees in the shade overlooking the beautiful Valley. On a clear day you... More

Andechs is a great summer's day destination. The Kloisterbrew is broadly known in Bavaria and among beer aficionados far and beyond. Dining on the terrace in the summer is a delight made superlative by the excellent feasting fare. For those of you who are so inclined, the Schweinshaxe (roast pig's shank) is a marvel in itself and a commitment to... More

We enjoyed lunch on the terrace of this restaurant (not to be confused with the other two biergartens at Andechs). We arrived early, just before noon and were able to find a table for two on the terrace outside the restaurant with the most magnificent view of the hillsides and town below. That in itself was worth the visit. As... More
