we had dinner here during our 3 day stay in cogne. The ambience was good.. more of romantic. Food was sufficient, my husband and I both ordered steak, not the best but cooked well.

It's our first night in Cogne and this restaurant set the vacation off perfectly. The food and service was fantastic. Had a great bottle of local wine, appetizers of dried local meats and deer carpaccio, followed by mains of deer medallions and grilled veal. I highly recommend this restaurant.

There are few independent restaurants open for lunch Mondays in Cogne and this is one of them, but it's a good one. Located on a quiet street, it offers excellent home cooking at reasonable prices. I had a tasty dish of spelt (farro) pasta with guinea fowl (faraona) sugo and a huge salad. Everything was freshly prepared. Nice alpine decor.

Wine list, exceptionally well priced with examples of wine from the Aosta region as well as Italy generally. Efficient friendly service, pasta dishes excellent; the area does not cater too well for non meat eaters and this restaurant reflects that. But there are vegetarian options and the local cheeses are superb.

Only had a glass of wine here but what a nice welcome and lovely service!! Just tried the local wine sitting outside but we were immediately made to feel welcome- lovely atmosphere and had we been staying longer we would have tried the food. Thanks.

When you walk in this restaurant, you don't immediately get the impression that this is a serious joint! The pasta's are fresh and very tasty! We especially liked the mushroom tagliatelle! As main the veal steak was cooked perfectly and very tender! We did not try the desserts, but I am sure they are also very good! The waiters do... More

This is probably the best restaurant in Cogne. Typical Valdotaine cuisine combined with the best wines from the region and the rest of Italy. I can only recommend for it's food and the friendliness of the staff. This is one of the places you have to visit.
