I am a foodie at heart, a fan of "blow your mind" hole-in-the-wall kind of unassuming places. So when I drove up to Brisas del Mar, having heard that they specialized in fresh seafood I was not put off by the run-down look of the open air bar that only had a few tables in it. My partner commented that... More

The service was great and the food was delicious. They even had live entertainment on a Thursday. Getting there from our hotel was in minutes. Great place to go, would go again in the future.

The service, the taste and the quality of the food super awesome. Very good price. Also have a very good location and amazing view to the ocean. We really loved to come back anytime soon.

We saw this place review and decided to give it a try. The waitress asked us if we wanted to wait for the food because they had two other costumers before us. We thought two other tables was not that much so we decided to order. Our appetizers came 35 minutes after we ordered them, one of the never came.... More

We were recently lucky enough to be in Guanica and stopped by Brisas del Mar for dinner. We were lucky enough to score 2 of the 3 outside tables (these are right on the side of the road, directly opposite the Malecon), so we were able to enjoy not only the food but the sights and sounds of the town.... We were looking for some puertorrican seafood restaurant and guided by Trip Advisor we found out Brisas del Mar. Good sevice, clean and reallyyyyy good stuffed mofongo with shrimp and chicken. And good prices too. Really recommended....Note: no A/C but not so important vs the good food you will have!

Brisas Del Mar was a fun time with Puerto Rican music playing, locals laughing and great food. The servers were very nice and attentive. We had a variety of the empanadillas for starters, including conch and shrimp, and they were all wonderful. We Suggest having the seafood and steak for two. It's is served with a fried rice mix in... This place is a bar close to where we stayed and seemed to have good enough reviews for us to try, even though it looked (and was) rather shabby. We started with rum and cokes that were tiny and watered down, then the cheese balls. Nothing to rave about but cheap. We then ordered churassco and chicken but after an... More

Don't let this place fool you. It seems like a shack, but the food is excellent. All the food is fresh and made from scratch. Highly recommended.

Description
I visited this restaurant on the Guanica broadwalk two weeks ago and found it small and with few tables, unlike those I have visited in “La Parguera” and “Combate”. The owner is an excellent host that welcomes you with great joy. The owner is also the bartender and waiter. All tables were full, which was the main reason to enter the restaurant (I think if the place is busy it’s have to be good).
The atmosphere of the place is like the ones on the fishing village of Piñones in the Metropolitan shore of the Island. The bar has a giant TV screen where you can watch videos selected by the owner, the local people apparently are those who visit the place in regular terms.
The menu is very limited, since it has an offer for kids and snacks to choose from are few, also serve soups and broths. From the menu you can choose: Lobster grilled mahi-mahi fillet stuffed with seafood, octopus salad or queen conch fritters with a companion of typical Puerto Rican. Request the appetizers: seafood turnover, “surullitos”, fish dumplings and “wings of the sea”. The wine list is limited. The food will arrive fresh to the table in about 30 minutes.
All these details are overlooked when savoring the delicious taste of fresh fish and seafood. Again, I get disappointed when I ask the owner for dessert and he answers that they do not have any desserts after such a great meal.
Prices are moderate between $ 10 and $ 30 plus government taxes (I.V.U.), no parking or valet parking and is a rich gastronomic adventure with a breathtaking view of the Bay of Guanica for those seeking to leave the city and find typical food from a seafood restaurant in a small town. It was good to know that “Brisas del Mar” accept debit cards, VISA and Mastercard. The restaurant's phone is 787-821-6372, the owner identified himself as just "Nando" and the restaurant is open from Friday to Sunday from 4:30 pm until midnight.
It’s is a three stars place with the cleanest restrooms in the whole Broadwalk.
