Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Great general set menu, but disappointing vegetarian set menu. Three of us enjoyed a delightful set menu, while our daughter's menu was not only very basic and poorly presented, but for some reason, cost €5 more than the one.

It’s a wonderful location for a late lunch with amazing views. We ate at 1700 and had three courses. As always staff are attentive but relaxed and make it such a great experience. Food was very good as usual. The delicatessen choices were all very...tasty, steaks were great and the paella very good. Desserts are excellent. It’s a great experience.More

Lovely place to watch the world go by the beach. Choice of tapas or al carte menu. Something for everyone , we are regulars and had steak today was delicious. Excellent choice of wines and the staff can advise what suits your requirements. The staff...make this place extra special and always make us feel welcome. Special shout out to Sylvia ⭐️ who is always happy no matter how busy she is. David , Adrian ( wine expert ) and Pedro. And not forgetting Belen 🤩. Highly recommend this place.More

Restaurante La Encarnacion was a major disappointment for our final lunch during this visit. As usual the food quality and presentation was excellent but on this occasion the customer service was well below expectations. I highlight the lead waitress as the source of our discontent....We had the audacity to ask for the menu del dia having only been given the a la carte menu. This simple ask appeared to irk the lady. My wife does not eat pork/ham and we discussed this and yet the salad arrived with pieces of ham. Our seafood paella arrived with clam shells unopened. When I tried to point this out after 3 attempts I was again treated with disdian at having to point out an obvious error. The waitress arrived back with recooked clams which had been microwaved and not so much as an apology was muttered. Once our lunch was completed I attempted to speak to the hotel general manager "Alfonso" who to my utter disbelief was 100% not interested in his customer. He lacked any empathy, suggested he did not speak any English (which I am suspicious about) and even after I had Google translated my concerns he had the audacity to tell me to calm down ! We will not return as Murcia now has many and a growing number of fine restaurants. Beware if you only speak English - I sensed the Brits are not welcome 😟 PS I do not want a standard reply from a hotel receptionist telling me they will learn lessons as has been cut/paste many times on other Trip Advisor feedback notes for this restaurant. Thanks.More

Went for some tapas and drinks, service was good, we ordered 2 pina coladas and as had been made together I had all the froth and no actual drink. And the breaded chicken was burnt chewy and dry and the meatballs were like out of...a Heinz tin and bland tomato sauce, they were cold, the bread was looked like part baked buns which hadn’t been baked. Just a really disappointing experience. The large beer was not a full glass and just generally not a great draft beer.More

It’s a lovely location, it really is. We took family of four adults and a teen. We arrived to an unwiped table and ordered drinks and a few tapas. Now marinera I can accept to eat over a bar napkin/tissue but we also ordered boquerones...for 5 that arrived on a plate, no forks or bread. I couldn’t eat oily boquerones over a tissue. Had to ask for plates and bread.More

If your celebrating a special occasion when visiting Los Alcazares, La Encarnacion is a must. A little bit out of the way in the old town but well worth it. The menu is varied and we both opted for local fish, cod loin and sea...bass baked in salt. It tasted fresh, was reasonably priced and the staff left time between courses. The atmosphere felt sophisticated in an old fashioned way!More
