Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Family owned restaurant offers delicious food. Vegan options are available. Pitcher of juice was reasonably priced. Wine is available, but not sure about other alcohol drinks.

The menu is standard fare with the usual offerings. Ordered the “crispy” battered cod which was more soggy and greasy. Disappointing for a restaurant located by the sea. Despite a short wait to get seated, the service was excellent though. The complimentary wheaten bread is...also a nice touch.More

Always good food and reasonably priced. Sick of pot luck whether your waitress brings you complimentary wheaten bread before meal or finger of cake with cream afterwards. 5 waiting staff brought their tables bread and cake while ours and the table next to us got...nothing. Don’t say, ‘should have asked for it’ because why should some diners have to ask for something every other waitress brings to their diners. Either it’s for everyone or it’s not. Simple!!More

Monaleen GAA club had the pleasure of visiting the Diamond Restaurant on Sunday 5th April. We had a group of over 50 people and the experience from start to finish was first class. Compliments to the chefs for the choice and quality of the food...on offer. All in our group thoroughly enjoyed their meal. The service was excellent, all the staff pleasant and attentive. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend the Diamond to friends or family.More

We visited Diamonds a few weeks ago while passing through Warrenpoint. We hadn’t been for years as we are not from the area. The food was lovely tasty and hot and very large portions. The service was fast considering the restaurant was full. Best of...all the lady who served us was really lovely, made us very welcome and when we were so full after lunch and couldn’t manage any desert, she brought a piece of the most beautiful shortbread to finish. Would definitely recommend.More

Popped in on this extra mild Saturday night. Had to wait about ten minutes as very busy. Got seated and treated myself to a pint of draught Guinness which they now serve. Ordered a breaded breast of chicken meal. Was a wee bit smaller than...I hoped for but tasty. I asked for the free after meal cake and an Irish coffee. Came shortly and lovely presented Staff are always excellent and so friendly. Never let's you down this place. Came to under £30.00 for pints, Irish coffee and meal. One plaint was the charge of £2.00 for a very small jug of curry sauce. But will recommend and go back.More

Absolutely brilliant service and the food was amazing. Got a full fry each and was stuffed. They brought a high chair for my son with out me having to ask. Food came very quickly too. I've been eating here for years, it is one of those little finds that you can always be sure that the food is excellent. It never fails, and it seems to be a firm favourite as its always busy which is a great sign in...itself. Hugh and his team have it well sorted.More

The Diamonds had been recommended to me for a good value bite to eat and as such I dropped in on Sunday afternoon with friends who were visiting me for weekend from County Kerry. The menu was extensive something to cover all tastes and budgets...if anything maybe to much choice. The four of us dining all zeroed in on the same thing Fresh Cod and chips as its kind of a go to treat. There were though some issues one of our friends had to send there's back because the fish was raw, the fresh part of fresh cod and chips was questionable as it tasted frozen, the mushy peas tasted canned, the salad consisted of three bits of cress. The portion size was smaller than expected but served on a smaller square plate to give the illusion of been big with a side dish of chips hardly full. On the plus side though the staff were very good, warm, welcoming, very helpful and indeed ensured the raw fish issue my guest had was rectified quickly. Service was excellent. If I had one suggestion it would be rather than having a menu with so many options breakfast, fish, steaks, grill, chicken, pizzas, sandwiches to name just a few of the categories on offer the menu be condensed so that quality could be maintained in both the product used and its cooking as opposed to the current trying to satisfy everyone with a bit of everything approach which leads to shortcuts like frozen fish instead of fresh and tinned mushy peas. Look forward to trying again in the future.More
