This is a nice, more expensive than mid-range restaurant located, obviously, behind the main church. After watching the lights show in the church (highly recommend), we went there for dinner. We had pizza and codfish, both excellent. It's not cheap but it's a good option for higher-quality meals in Tiradentes. It might be a bit far-off if you're not planing... More

I have been here at least four times and the food is always great! You can sit very inside or outside. The view on the mountains is nice! At night they use the wood furnace for making pizzas. Fish as well meat is great here. Very quiet environment compared to the market place. Must go to place! Enjoy.

Nice atmosphere...good service...but food wise, including their speciality (cod fish), very disappointing...very expensive...I would not go back.

I had twice dinner in this restaurant and it was great! The food, especially known for fish and firewood furnace pizza, is great! The staff is very friendly, advising you well and all courses were great! Try the cot fish, very good! And also the filet mignon. You can sit outside! I little bit out of the center of Tiradentes,... Different types of food, all just great. My kids had pizza and loved it. my parents went for the Trouta ( fish) and it was excelent. We had a traditional local soup. Great service, and located in a nice area. Excelent price.

This restaurant has very nice codfish dishes, I recommend. Pizzas are delicious too. Prices are honest and service is good as well.

Every cent you expend to buy a meal in Atrás da Matriz is worth it. Is a place to see and taste, from a very good wine in a beautiful house, to an excelent meal you have almost praying... I am indeed in love with Atrás da Matriz. Maybe the only bad note about it is the cappuccino is not... More

I cannot recall any best codfish in Brazil than Atras da Matris... their excellence is comparable to best restaurants of Lisbon and Porto in Portugal. Located just behind the Matriz de Santo Antonio church, it's a little bit expensive, roughly 100BRL per person (no wine nor alcoholic beverage included). If the weather helps, ask for outdoor seating.

This restaurant, in the historical city of Tiradentes, is specialized in codfish and pizzas. The food has very good taste. I recommend you to start with a black beans soup or any other appetizer because your food will take 30 to 40 minutes to come to your table. In general, in Tiradentes, at any restaurant, your food will take 30... More
