The food is excellent. The lumpreis was so delicious. The daal is incredible. The staff are so friendly and it is so posh but still welcoming.

This was reunion lunch with some old school friends. The restaurant was a perfect venue for us. We enjoyed traditional Sri Lankan food that was really tasty and Cooked with authentic recipes. Nice looking restaurant, and nice Mango Lassi, Lamb Chops and Chicken wings. The Chicken 65 was very dry and lamb muttons were average.

We visited Virundhu for Lunch on Sunday 25th June 2023 (impromptu decision since Lahore next door wasn’t open). We ordered Fish cakes, Jackfruit curry and Aubergine chickpeas curry with Paratha & plain appam. We were thoroughly disappointed. Here is why. 1. Only 1 of 4...draught beers on the menu was available. Several food items were unavailable too example Lamb chops. 2. The curries arrived room temperature - when we complained server’s attitude was quite callous, his words were 'I am not responsible, but I apologise'. No effort was made to offer to replace or heat up the curries; Fish cakes were OK. 3. The Jackfruit curry was made from chewy pieces of jackfruit from a tin, rather than fresh one. The chilli sauce with fishcakes was from a bottle not made in kitchen. Aubergine curry and breads were OK. So, if you are looking for authentic Sri Lankan food with homemade flavour, look elsewhere. 4. The young lady server started clearing up the table even while we were still eating – just been in the restaurant for 30min or so. And the whole restaurant was empty except for 3 tables so not sure what was the rush. 5. Towards the end we were told we should order any final orders well in advance since kitchen is busy – with what? 3 tables 😊 Frankly the restaurant seems to be run like a hobby at least for Sunday lunch, missing items from the menu, cold food made from tinned ingredients and callous attitude of the servers.More

We visited this small Sri Lankan restaurant in Pinner as it's one of very few outside central London. The restaurant is family-run, hence the setting and food was genuine. Surprisingly, there was only one other table occupied. We ordered too much - portion sizes are...ample - but were given 'doggy bags' to take home. This is great for a genuine South Asian experience OR take-away meal.More

Was there for dinner mainly because of the banana leaf experience. Nice presentation but the food is absolutely tasteless. The chicken curry is okay but the rest is really poor. Not worth the money or the experience. Sadly my sister couldn't enjoy her birthday dinner...as the lamb was also chewy&tasteless. I would not recommend at all.More

We had gone to your restaurant on the 25th of Feb 2023 at 6pm without a booking. At the entrance they offered us a table. We had 2 kids with us aged 4 and 6 years. When we sat down I said I want to...immediately order for the kids as they are hungry. However, whoever was taking the order and I think it was the manager, said that the he can only take the order for the whole table. This is the first time I have ever heard a restaurant say this in the UK and coming from a restaurant which is not even that well known was even hilarious. At this point, I asked the manager where are these terms and conditions mentioned. He said they are not mentioned anywhere. So this means he just does whatever he wants and seems to be making up anything as he goes along. He was extremely rude and we left the restaurant with 2 hungry kids. I believe, you as a restaurant owner are not obligated to give a table to someone who has not done any reservation but you cannot consider that as a favour if you give a table to a customer. You can very well say your are full and that’s an acceptable answer. But to give a table and then provide a bad customer service is not acceptable considering when we were there at the restaurant it was almost empty and you were refusing to take orders for the kids only. In fact when we asked about the hoppers he said they won’t be ready till 8-8:30pm when the restaurant is supposed to be open from noon till 10pm.More
