Popped in for carvery and it was delicious, choice of beef, pork or turkey, veg done just right and not over cooked. Carvery chef was helpful, gluten free gravy was freshly prepared for us. Bar staff were busy, bit distracted when serving us. The eating...More

We had been here numerous times before, but this time the food was lacking and not good value for money. I had risotto and you couldnt see the crab and only 3 prawns, and it was not well cooked. The lamb shank was very sweet.

Lovely food and good portion sizes belied by huge plates. Steak pie well loaded and tasty, beef with Stilton lattice lovely and flavoursome. The roaring fire was an added bonus.
