Manager, front of house welcomed our group of 6. Warm welcome. Food and chef really good. Staff very accommodating. Most of all the locals who welcomed us within. The banter was brilliant. Definitely recommend this pub.

We visited the George & Dragon on a Sunday following a walk in Conwy, and had a great reasonably priced roast. Would definitely return if we come back to the area.

Been using the George and dragon for as long as the current landlord has been there. I have not been able to use the establishment since covid and was very upset when served with a birra morretti with a 2 inch froth/head on the beer....I let it go on the first pint but brought to the attention of the bar person that I did not want a large head on my next beer and to my amazement the bar person followed up by saying its of the policy that we pour all drinks with a substantial head on the beer. I informed the bar person that I did not want a large head on my beer not that I am a skin flint but was really flabbergasted with the approach and answer to my question. I did not inform the bar person that I used to be employed in weights and measures. But I do hope with this review any company policy can be reversed to the satisfaction of subsequent customers.More

Traditional pub with excellent food. Simple selection but fabulous and great value for money. We enjoyed it so much we went again the following night.

I visited here a couple of weeks ago on a Tuesday with my friend, it was my first time out since lockdown as I had been shielding so was really looking forward to going out for lunch. Had a very nice warm welcome and showed...to our reserved table. We ordered our food, my friend had cheese melts, And I had the Southern fried chicken with Piri Piri sauce and both starters were very nice. For mains my friend had a steak sandwich in ciabatta bread, Which she said was very nice. I had ordered an 8 ounce rump steak which I asked to be cooked medium rare and I paid for a side of peppercorn sauce. When my food arrived I could see just by the look of it how dry it was and that it was overcooked, So I cut into it and it was very well done and also very dry. I called the waitress over and explain to her and she went to talk to chef and came back and said they would do me another one. So I waited about 15 minutes and of course by then the rest of my food had gone cold. When the steak arrived it just came on the side plate with no fresh peppercorn sauce or the extras it comes with. I cut into the steak and half of it was raw and the other half just about cooked. I left it. When the waitress came to collect the plates and asked if everything was ok she clearly see I had left my steak, I did tell her that it wasn’t ok but she just took the plate. I asked for the bill and there was 3 items in it we hadn’t even had. She did amend it. Very disappointing and was so looking forward to taking my friend out after over a year. I won’t be returningMore

First impressions were really nice, staff extremely bubbly, lovely and helpful. We ordered garlic bread and chicken wings as a start which were both very nice so things started off well. Unfortunately, the mains came we prefer 2 buttermilk chicken burgers both with no salad...and the ‘desperado fries’ with no chillies or onions but with Cajun seasoning. Both burgers arrived with salad on which wasn’t asked for, the burger buns were soggy and not even toasted, chicken was cooked but very soggy and not enjoyable at all, the fries still had spring onions on and no Cajun seasoning. This was a real shame as the staff and atmosphere of the place was really lovely, it’s a shame the food let it down.More

I think dogs were allowed in the main room after food service had stopped, otherwise only in the beer garden, so very rain dependant!

Sorry I visited for a meal whilst on a weekend away to Abergele. Am not a local to this place. Maybe if you check out there website or contact the venue directly. Hope this helps .
