We went as a party of twelve for our mums birthday, the staff as always were helpful, friendly and hardworking. A few had starters and all finished every morsel I had the roast turkey dinner and it tasted delicious, while the others ordered different items, not much was left and everyone said they enjoyed their food. Three had the medley... More

We recently returned from holiday with the blues, as you do. We dedcided to visit the Grouse and was glad we did. Always a good meal there but we noted they are currently running a fish on friday deal. 2 courses for two for £25. choice of four starters and mains. I had mussels to start, was like a main... More

Visited last night with family. Lovely and spacious so felt private despite the place being full. Plenty of choice on menu and of good value. Food was tasty. Staff were accommodating and generally friendly. A good time was had and I'm pretty sure we will return again in the near future. It's definitely worth the drive out to.

Love the food and the view! You can't visit here and not try the local Steak & Ale pie or Tipsey Chicken!

Really nice place, busy on a Wednesday lunch and you can see why. 2 courses for £10.95, the food was lovely and tasty. The menu choice was good and some varied dishes. Would recommend to anyone, I will definitely be visiting again soon. P.s try the blooming onion very tasty

I've been to The Grouse on numerous occasions now and really cannot fault the place. The food is plentiful and delicious, the staff are really helpful, chatty and friendly. The one thing I always notice about The Grouse is that it's pretty much in the middle of nowhere, yet it's always busy - that's got to say something! I would... More

We had a lovely and relaxed meal here. The portions were huge and the food tasty. The staff were really accommodating - I only wanted the lemon curd ice cream from the trip of lemon desserts and the waitress brought me a huge glass full - it was delicious!

My mum loves going here and we were not disappointed. We had the friday fish menu and it was excellent. The portions are smaller than off the main menu but as it is two courses this is fine. The main menu dishes are so big I cant handle a pudding as well.

We've been to The Grouse Inn previously and found it great but it fell short on this occasion. Three generations had two courses. Starters included Veg soup, farmhouse pate and duo of Yorkshire puddings which were all good but the prawns wrapped in filo pastry were less good - more pastry than prawns. Main courses of Roast of the day... More
