Very good food, very good staff in very good atmosphere. Just off the main A30 trunk road. Well worth a visit when in the area.

I ate here last weekend, their restaurant has nice area's so you can feel a little more private if you want to be, my meal was good , pate to start with and cannelloni with a salad for my main course with a good glass of wine too!. no complaints at all.

Great staff. Good choice of food and well priced. Very clean too, I was happy to let my 9 month old crawl around on the floor and that doesn't happen often in public places.

We visited Betty Cottles Restaurant recently for a birthday meal. On arrival we were pointed towards a very dark conservatory which I found quite odd as there were literally no other people apart form us and the staff in the whole place. When we went to sit down in said cave, we realised that no heating was turned on, the... More

Recently booked a table for my sisters birthday. Had been here before and had an enjoyable evening, but last night was far from that. We arrived to an empty pub, got told our table was set up in a dark conservatory, no heating. The main restaurant was empty so I asked if we could have our table moved somewhere where... More

This pub and restaurant was recommended to us so we had to try it. On entering the bar area we were greeted by a person propping up the bar continuously swearing at his children which embarrassed the older lady with us. On getting our drinks and menu's we were told to go to table sixteen. The waitress came to attend... More

We were drawn by the quaintness of the exterior and hunger pangs. Upon arrival, we found a restaurant devoid of people, alarm bells should have rung. The door sported a sticker: recommended by Trip Advisor......... so what could go wrong? Well, due to the lack of customers, the vastness of empty space, blaring pop music and the efforts of a... There were only six customers in a huge pub/restaurant, so service was quick (and polite). Excellent fish and chips, except for the fish itself, which wasn't cod or haddock. Dessert looked good, but was bland. With two drinks, came to £35 for two. Left feeling we didn't get what we'd paid for.
