You need to try the Crabs alcapurrias , this is so delicious that you will try two or more. This is not for diet people, everything is fried. Ask for plate the Crabs Rice and Salmorejos. you will remember me for a long time

A hole in the wall with the most amazing Alcapurrias on the island. You can't miss this place with all the people buying food there. They also have a dirt parking lot behind the restaurant if no parking in the front. The front of the restaurant handles take out orders while inside you can sit and dine. I don't recommend... More

From thursday on you will find all kinds of dishes with "jueyes" Crab meat. The alcapurrias are great and shaped like little flying saucers. Whether meat or "jueyes" they are tasty. A trip to Loiza is not complete without a stop at Sylvia!

great stand to get empanadas to take with you--everything TASTEY!!! We got one of everything they had for the day on the rack & can't say anything was not good ( a few were too greasy for some). Was perfect for us to take-along for a day trip.

The food here is delicious! We were told by a local that Sylvia makes the best alcapurria on the island. We didn't doubt it after tasting them. This was the best we ever tasted. The filling was delicious and the snack was fried perfectly. There was a line the entire time we were there. The service was not exceptional, as... More

This place is definitely local. The rich and the poor come together to enjoy the best of creole puertorican food. I had an alcapurrias de jueyes, it was the best I've had. They were huge, and fresh. The arroz con jueyes was unbelievable, the red beans a true delicacy. Hot and sticky, no ac, lovely locals. Definitely fam.ily friendly and... More

This place is famour for their spherical shaped alcapurrias (different from the typical elongated ones). The food here is great...it has that "home-made" Puerto Rican flavour. The review below stated that the place is a "loud cafeteria, not for the family"...well what that person failed to realise is that the typical Puerto Rican eateries throughout the country side are not...
