We love this place and have been visiting Ionis Cafe for over 12 years. The hospitality is second to none and the staff are amazing. Costas and all the staff are so welcoming and friendly and now they serve their own IPA why would we...go anywhere else. The food and red wine are great too. Food and drink excellent (especially their own ionis craft beer). Food is tasty and reasonably priced. Staff are friendly have good English, the service is speedy and efficient.
Today we hiked Old Navarino Castle & Voidakilia Bay. We were in desperate need of refreshments after so chose to stop here for a drink and a snack. Wow! The hospitality is lovely, they have an incredible 6% cloudy, hoppy & tropical IPA called Sourmena...and the Al Pastor Burrito was sensational! Spicy, full of flavour and the fries were what we in the UK call chunky chips. Everything about this visit was amazing! Thank you! 🙏More
Great location with an amazing view on the bay. We stopped by on Tsiknopempti day for a few skewers and a Greek salad. Both were great,well prepared and tasty.
We had an amazing lunch here for 18.5 euors - which inlcuded wine, soda, classic burger, giabatta with chicken both dishes came with chunky chips, such good value for money and lovely service. Our waitress was very efficient and polite always with a smile
On the Gialova waterfront, Ionis serves all the drinks you would expect from a high-end bar from draught Mythos to fresh orange juice. Pleasant and efficient service from Kristina & Co.
Ionis is located ideally to Gialova, perfect for the summer in Messinia. Must try ciabatta! The owner, Kostas, one the most hospitable people you could ever meet. True sample of success when you love what you are doing and Vice versa!

Before i proceed with my review, it is important to say that i live and work the last years in the wider area of Gialova and i have multiple times visited Ionis cafe. With one word, it perfectly balances quality and price. As i am...very strict with tasty and qualitative coffee, i must admit that they do serve maybe the most tasteful coffee in Gialova (Sugar cafe serves amazing coffee too). You should definitely try their hot afogato coffee, hot espresso served with a generous scoop of vanilla ice cream. Their catalogue is full of tasteful sweet and salt options in very reasonable prices. I enjoy their hot sandwiches and their crunchy waffles served with nutella and ice cream. Moreover, they do offer complimentary fast internet (Wi-Fi) while i must admit that their staff is adorable and look after all go their guests.More
A beautiful place right on the water outside with excellent furnishing and design inside. Ideal for everyone who wish to take a coffee or snack right on the waterfront of Gialova.
Relaxed ambience on the seafront road, ideal for a summer option. Nice drinks and very friendly staff. Quick service and delightful music. Great combination of quality and price. Been there many times while visiting Yialova.
Everything is great about ionis: the service, the food, the choices of the drinks (cocktails are great!!!) and the view. Nice to sit at the beach side and have lunch while the kids play in the sand. We also watched the soccer world championship here....They had it on a big tv.More
We went here almost every morning for breakfast, lovely fresh orange juice and a great iced espresso. Also great for lunch, you can enjoy amazing cocktails here too. It's a great spot to relax and enjoy.
It was nice to have a coffee and have an easy lunch. The lady takes good care of her collection of cactus plants. We even got some plants from her to plant in our garden. They are already planted.
