Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.

Excellent cuisine with an almost entirely gluten-free menu
Easily accessible on foot from anywhere in Skiathos Town, this restaurant is a real gem.
You do not notice it from the outside and if you do not know it, you do not find it by accident.
Passing by it looks like a common empty cocktail bar, but the front of the place is a waiting room.
Inside, there is a garden set up in a very well-kept and furnished courtyard, illuminated with soft lights and candles.
The restaurant, which develops completely outdoors, is refreshed by fans hanging from the pergola that covers it. Sore note is that these fans are particularly low and the blades, for my taste, spin too close to the guests' heads. If you were more than 190 centimeters tall, watch your head.
The menu offers both traditional Greek dishes and international cuisine, all at prices acceptable for the type of restaurant and the quality of the dishes. Out of the chorus appears only the grilled fillet of beef, which, although fine is a normal fillet of about 300 grams, cooked on the grill, proposed at almost € 30.
Here too, the wonderful Greek welcome, found throughout the island, is not lacking.
As in the other places, the meal ended with the offer of a dessert.
We were offered an excellent Catalan cream, also gluten-free, to share and a limoncello for each guest.

I chose this restaurant by searching on the internet. A very nice place, it doesn't look like it at the entrance, then behind it there is a small garden with tables. We ate well, a salmon tartare and two first courses. It's difficult for us celiacs to eat in Greece, but the waiter showed me all the dishes on the menu that I could eat, they even have gluten-free pasta.
With two glasses of wine, a bottle of water and a creme brulee we spent €68. The price is not average for the place, it is more similar to Italian prices, but the place and the cuisine are worth it. The friendly staff, don't arrive before your reservation because they make you wait until the exact minute.

If you want to have a top culinary experience, with slightly more gourmet Greek food and in general eat really well and in a different way from the usual taverns, I strongly recommend this place not only for the delicious refined dishes of both meat and fish, but also for the super special atmosphere! The host, Michalis, will put you at ease and will give you advice on food (I recommend the salmon, prawns and the unmissable mussaka made by his mother) and on wine pairings... and all the staff will be He is very kind and courteous to you, satisfying you in all your needs! We have returned several times to this place which has become my favorite place on the island!

After dining here in May with a friend I was looking forward to eating here again as a solo on my return to Skiathos. The first time I couldn’t find any criticisms about the place. The ambience, food and wine was excellent. However on my return it was entirely different. I was the first one in the restaurant as I prefer eating early when on my own and I was ‘greeted’ by a miserable guy who showed me to a table. He took my order, still no smiles. The food came up very quickly (too quickly) but to be honest, by that time I just wanted to get out of the place. I felt awkward (other couples and families had arrived by then). I don’t know if they don’t want solo people eating there but I was rather upset by the end. Completely spoiled the evening.

Location was great, felt like it was tucked away and no one knew about it! My meatball main was lovely however my partner had a pork main which he said was bland.
We had profiterole for dessert which was delicious, unfortunately the service was rather slow - we had to wait atleast 20 mins for the dessert menu

Accidentally stumbled upon this place whilst searching for somewhere to eat one night. I have been to Skiathos several times but have tended to eat down by the Harbour and not in the main town. What a find. We hadnt booked but were shown to a nice table in a hidden courtyard. Nothing like, was expected from peering inside from the front entrance. All of the Staff were so friendly and smiley with their greeting. The price of the drinks and food were all reasonable. I chose the 'Poor Man's Penne Pasta' which came with chicken & ham, in a really tasty cheese sauce. My partner had the Rump Steak done medium well, and it came with fried potaoes and added a Peppercorn sauce. At 13 Euros and 18 Euros we considered it good value for money as both meals were so tasty and excellenty cooked and presented. I followed it with the cherry cheesecake which was as equally delicious. We enjoyed it so much that we booked again 2 nights later (& both went for the same meal). Try it, you wont be disappointed!

The food was delicious and the staff went the extra mile for my girlfriends birthday to make it special, bringing out complimentary glasses of prosecco and dessert with a candle. The overall atmosphere was great and seemed very popular. Would recommend to anyone visiting Skiathos

Food tastes very dry. Every meat and everywhere it says “truffle” inside - there is a spray oil that tastes like absolutely NIX. Not recommended it goes somewhere else!!! The carpaccio is very disgusting - just ham straight from the packet on the plate! Going somewhere else!

We had a great time everything of excellent quality! They also have gluten-free pasta and several gluten-free options. They are very kind and welcoming. At the end of the meal we were also offered a strictly gluten-free dessert and a liqueur. We highly recommend it!

Very cozy place with tables all'aperto.cibo very good, even gluten free, well cooked and reported as gluten-free on the menu. Thank you very much because such foresight is very rare on the island. A starter with pepper and rice, a very large pork steak and Greek stew, sparkling water and a glass of wine 52 euros. It is the third time we come.excellent value for money

Restaurant in the center of Skiathos town where you can eat in an intimate and quiet internal area. Very welcoming and kind staff. As an entrée they brought us Greek olives, olive pâté and tzatziki, all very tasty. We ordered Greek cheese and grilled sea bass, all tasty and well cooked. the service was very fast. In the end they offered us portokalopita, a typical Greek orange and cinnamon dessert (very sweet) and ouzo, a typical digestive of around 40 degrees obtained from grape must and anise, with a sweetish flavour. A culinary experience to repeat. The bill was adequate for what we ate.

Every summer we eat at least once in the courtyard of the Secret Garden which changed owners two years ago. The service is friendly, polite and quick. The food is better quality than the standard tavern offerings . The salads are copious . The sea bass was cooked just right . The crème brûlée and cheesecake for dessert were both tasty. The price is a bit more than elsewhere but you pay for quality ingredients.

Visited this place on a recent trip to Skiathos and after reading some gluten free reviews. As a coeliac it is hard when eating out abroad, this place has lots of gluten free items to choose from and all clearly labelled on the menu. I opted for stuffed peppers followed by mushroom stifiado. I am not a vegetarian but fancied something other than my go to steak. The waiter confirmed the chips are cooked in a separate fryer. No reactions! Highly recommend.

Non so come fa ad avere recensioni positive!
We took a grilled sea bass, it was dry and tasteless, not to mention the pappardelle with meat and mushroom stew... full of cream and Philadelphia simply a jumble of flavors that did not bind at all.
Finally inexperienced guys serve at tables! He emptied a glass of water from another table in a plant next to me and poured it on my feet.
Service and food to forget

I saw this restaurant on trip advisor and found it in a small lane in the town. Luckily They managed to fit us in (5people) for dinner.
It is in a beautiful courtyard and the tables look beautiful, nicely set and quality glassware. There is loads of traditional Greek dishes and we all had different starters and mains .
The house wine was fantastic we enjoyed both Red and White.
All the food was served with nice presentation and tasted great. Large portions of everything. The moussaka, the pork , the steak and kleftico were perfectly cooked.
The price was comparable to others in the town, but the standard of food and service was way superior. We were not rushed and spent the evening at our table.
The owners spoke to us to check everything was satisfactory.
Such a nice personal experience.
We were all very pleased with our meal and will return.
