We have been coming here as a family for 25 years and nothing changes. Quiet a relief in our fast paced frenetic world where nothing is ever the same. The chicken is always cooked to perfection, the salad of tomatoes, wonderfully flavoursome and rustic. The...More

The waiters were so rude and intimidating, they told us we were having chicken (15 of us) we asks if we could other foods and we're thrown a menu! Asked for wine it was just put in front of us! Watched us eat - waiters...More

Dreadful service, unfriendly Waiters, big screen football, chicken terrible - what little of it we were served with - why on earth did we even think of going there?

We were looking to try out some local restaurants and this one had been highly recommended. There were no menus. The restaurant only serves chicken (1/2 per person) either plain or piri-piri. Bread, little pots of local cheese, olives, pate and melon jam were brought...More

Great chicken at Ramires, speedy service, no frills just great food. The house wine was very good too, all very reasonably priced

Been coming for 20'years but they have now changed the fries seem precut and too thick. Ramires is famous for its chicken piri piri and secondly for the thin hand made fries. Hope it's not sold out in favour of cheaper mass production! let me...More

Back again! Can't go to Portugal without visiting Ramires for some peri peri. So, so good! We always make a point of going and always think one tray of chicken between us will be enough... it never is. The staff were lovely as always and...More

Ate here at the end of our holiday. Had high expectations on arrival. How quickly they were dashed. No welcome. Not even a hello. No menu given. Just had piri piri chicken available. A dire omelette for vegetarian option. Poor service and food at best....More

Although it's a cheap place to eat, the food is mediocre and the people are not very friendly. The chicken is quite ok but the fries were sloppy and probably quite old. The atmosphere matches that of a hospital, bright lights and not a very...More

You go to this place for Piri Piri Chicken, not to sample 'covers' or wanting a burger! We simply ordered for four people and added the tomato and onion salad, (along with the obligatory chips). Serving tray arrived full of chopped up pieces of chicken,...More

Questions & AnswersAsk a question
Hello, We will be dining at Sauc during an upcoming trip. Does anyone who has eaten here have advice about what the dress code generally was and what diners were wearing? Do men wear suits, or would dark jeans and a nice collared shirt suffice? Is a sport coat recommended? Thank you for any help.

It's very casual lots of people in shorts and cut-off trousers. It's definitely not formal. I'm carrying a cardigan with me in the evening but only needed it once.
Does the restraunt have gluten free options? Thanks in advance. Micheal

I very much doubt it. It only really serves chicken piri piri salad and chips and I doubt they would know what gluten is, sorry.
