Lovely fresh food, friendly and swift service. Great ambidience in this place - enjoy your fish and chips in a clean, bright restaurant rather than feel like your in a canteen which tends to be the typical fish and chips experience at the seaside. We...More

Unfortunately no shows and late arrivals meant other visiting customers were unable to get a table at all.
Bookings may work for some restaurants, but unfortunately we found it did not work for us.

In my experience, top restaurants always offer diners a selection of wines, (great fish & chips, yes; top restaurant, defo not) either verbally, menu or on a wine list. You should have been offered alternative selections. Ten quid isn't over the top for a fine wine; however, I shouldn't like to pay that for a glass of Chablis, especially not up here; I think you are right to feel aggrieved. I always blast snotty waiters and I complain to the management at once; diners do not have to put up with unprofessional staff.
