Far too long since our last visit. Have not been to the General Havelock for some time and had forgotten how good it is. Excellent home cooked lunch at reasonable price. Very pleasant service and easy parking.

We visited this Inn whilst on holiday in October. We booked for Sunday lunch and the choice was Beef or Chicken. The food was very good and everything was homemade, even the bread rolls. I would definitely recommend eating here.

Went here for Sunday lunch and everyone was so welcoming. There were 6 of us and everyone really enjoyed the Sunday lunch. The lamb was delicious and tender and my husband really enjoyed the swordfish. The service was exceptional, I was breastfeeding my baby when...More

Very surprised when you walk in to this dated pub. The restaurant in the back is superb and cooked us the most fantastic steak I’ve ever had! Staff were lovely.

I wouldn't recognise this place from the other recent reviews. I booked because it advertises through the Gourmet Society offering members 50% discount on all meals and we were in the area. My own impression of the bar was unfavourable, with a limited choice of...More

Went for lunch with couple of young kids, no kids menu but offered to cook virtually anything for the kids and go over to the co-op next door to get any ingredients for us. Excellent service and food was excellent.
