Decided to try itihaas for a change tonight, as usually we go to Bombay Spice in Bonnyrigg. Hugely disappointing meal. We started with the chicken pakora which were cold, dry and rubbery. Not sure if you're meant to get a sauce with them but a sauce was desperately lacking. My husband went for chicken saag and I had chicken badshahi,... More

We have eaten at Ittihas on a regular basis but our recent visit will be our last. We booked a table for 2 on Hogmanay and granted the restaurant was busy but we were seated in the middle of the main restaurant, surrounded by several large dining parties. The volume of noise we were surrounded by made it completely impossible... More

Had dinner with my niece and everything was spot on. The food, wine & service could not be faulted. Just wish the portions were a bit smaller. So delicious I don't want to leave anything but it is a struggle!

This place is up there with Mother India (Glasgow) The Wee Curry Shop (Glasgow) and Mr Singhs (Glasgow)for the best curries in Scotland. Their awards are very much deserved. Im sitting here waiting impatiently for them to open at 5pm so I can call in for our dinner. We have never been dissapointed with our orders. The Meal Deal for... More

Recommended by a friend, we ate out mid week. the haggis pakora was lovely. Hubby had the biryani and I had the lamb sag with naan. Recommend the rose zinfandel. Would eat here again if up in the area as there were so many lovely specials to choose from

Very slow service. Two hours from sitting to finishing basic two course meal. This impacted on rest of night. Cutlery dirty and had to ask for it to be replaced. There was no word of apology. Staff took payment for meal and assumed tip was included, not coming back to offer change and nobody thanked us for custom as we... More

Food was very poor, could not get the steak cooked correct, they tried and twice they failed, the Lamb Madras was so spicy you could not put it in your mouth without burning your tongue, we have gone to Itihaas since it opened and have had many take away meals also, also go for Christmas dinner, however this experience was... Staff were friendly and attentive. The quality of the food, first class, and reasonably priced. Couldn't really fault the meal.
