Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Al babor is one of the best restaurants in Israel. The salads are amazing, Jarjeer we like it in special. The meat is great and they have the best Knafeh dessert in Israel. This is not a cheap restaurant but is the best restaurant to...taste the local Arab cuisineMore

Driving from the Golan/Galil to the coast you will pass El Babor shortly after passing Megiddo. It's therefore an almost natural stop for lunch. This spacious restaurant is located right along the main road; the only hassle is to find parking space. They have large...tables so it's possible to eat there with a group. There's mezze on the menu with great humus and a huge variety of other dishes like kebab, lamb and fish. I have a preference for the stuffed lamb's neck. There are also plenty of salads to choose from. Service is fast and friendly. When we were traveling with our 2 Rhodesian Ridgebacks from Europe in 1995 this was the only restaurant in Israel which allowed us to take our dogs inside. They found us a table in the back and our dogs slept undisturbed underneath until - in the middle of our meal - new Israeli customers complained and forced the waiters to chase the dogs out. I have never forgotten the kindness of the waiters who helped us out. Needless to say that I've often returned to eat at El Babor.More

El Babor is a wonderful Mediterranean, Middle Eastern, Israeli local Restaurant. We came here for lunch and the food was just amazing. Everything was delicious and just wish I could eat all day long it was so good. The food was so fresh you knew...you would not get food posioning. Traveling a lot you learn to know when the food is fresh starting with the smells. The kitchen is so clean and organized. Bravo. Also learned a lot about Israeli food today. Thank you for a memorable day!More

After long days up North this is definitely a great choice for dinner. Food here is always authentic, fresh and delicious, service is warm and I like that the small salad plate appetizer meal is optional. This is not cheap though.

We came in after hiking and travelling in the area. Some of the items on the menu, that we wanted to order, were unavailable, but we enjoyed eggplant salad, houmus, sea bass (lavrak) and sea bream (Denise) fish on the grill- very good.

The food was OK, but not more than that. The Service was VERY slow and not so friendly. The prices in the place are very expensive for איק salads and standard main dishes. You expect for the best quality or for a good portion for...this price. Actually - you receive 5-7 of pieces of meat without skewer (Chicken skewer) with 3-4 pieces if French fries Let's say just in case and you have no any other choiceMore

While traveling in Megido , we decided to travel also in the Menashe hills and later we drove to Yokneam to find a restaurant. I wanted to eat in this famous restaurant for a while, thus we took this opportunity to eat there. We were...warmly welcomed and after a wile we made our orders: one was their special (Kebab Barbor haleb) and one the "normal" , their chicken skew. The dishes came pretty quickly, although my special dish seemed to lack few more minutes of heating to create the perfect dish. The other dish was very good, I honestly can not grade it as 3 stars, but i do believe that a grade of 3.5 was more accurate to this restaurant.More

We read some of the unfavorable reviews and came to eat here doubtful. But our doubts were quickly quashed. The salad platters were all good and fresh and our two mains were great - stuffed chicken and kebab albabour style. Both highly recommended. If you...make it here, go for their specialties.More

Free salads if you order a main dish. Salads are good, main dishes are good too. Tarea is not very safe now. If you are staying aroun, go there, if not, don't. :)

We had lunch at the restaurant en route. The place is large, in an impressive stone building. The service was quick. The food was mediocre, nothing special. The lemonade was far too sweet ..

Palestinian Arab food is having a wonderful modern revival. El Babor is still far back in this trend. Good salads but nothing with wow factors. The main course of slow cooked lamb filled with rice - dry, tasteless and expensive.
