Having tried the place again after several years absence, I read the hype and decided to enjoy. However the tepid food and "oh right" but no action attitude of waiting on staff left me as cold as the food. I see the site says it's...More

My wife and I went for an anniversary lunch today and we were not disappointed. The food was great and the service was superb. This pub/restaurant is easily one of the best around. This is our fourth review of this great place.

Description
We are a traditional country pub in South Cheshire with a warm and cosy restaurant that serves traditional pub classic food freshly made from locally sourced ingredients. We have two open log fires and an ambiance that means no loud music, fruit machines or dart board etc. We cater for the discerning diner and have an extensive wine list as well as fine cask ales. We are open for lunch Fri, Sat and Sunday Noon until 3pm and evening meals from 6pm until 9p Tues - Sunday We consider ourselves the best country pub in Cheshire! We source all our ingredients locally and do not microwave food. All our beef is the finest 'Wagyu' beef and the lamb comes from the far, nect door to the pub. Bread is baked on the premises and we prode ourselves in good presentation and service.
