Excellent meal, excellent staff only spoilt by loud-mouthed diners on a nearby table who seemed to believe that the entire restaurant wanted to listen to their stupid opinions.

I visited here with friends for an afternoon tea on Friday 27th January. There was some confusion over booking (on our part!) and we actually turned up without a reservation. We expected just to order from the normal lunch menu as we hadn't pre-booked but the staff were very accommodating and said we could still have afternoon tea and also... More

First visit for my family . We were met on entry by a polite manager who took us to our table through the rear with a seat next to the log burning fire which my wife and daughter loved. We ordered our drinks off the waiter then ordered our traditional Sunday lunch. Our meal arrived less then 10 minutes later... More

Given a meal voucher as a gift, so decided to use it today. Had to book a table as restaurant is very busy, service fantastically quick and staff very pleasant. Ordered starters of garlic bread & Cajun chicken, wow, both meals very tasty. Main meal served almost immediately as starter completed, and once again very tasty & good sized portion.... More

A little bit of countryside in the north east. This pub has a great setting. It's deceiving in size as has several rooms to sit in. We have visited lots and lots of times and have enjoyed sitting inside and out. It's very quirky inside, and beautifully decorated which is why they have weddings! I would get married at this... I'm not one to complain but I feel I have to about the diabolical service we were provided. Visiting on the afternoon of New Years Eve, the welcome was nice and we were given a table as a walk in ✅ We were then served by three different teenagers who didn't have a clue what each of their colleagues had...
