Typical bistro with good value menus. The prices were good and the menu was on a blackboard. Wine quality and price was good

Saint Valery is a fantastic place and as a result, very busy Le Cafe Dee Janne is well worth a visit We had a table in the terrace area, very nice and were well looked after Fish soup and a grilled Dorade for me, tartar Dorade and fish scours for Julie, we even had a pudding, not like us, all... We visited this cafe on our first night in Saint Valery and it seemed we hit upon a perfect place, with brisk, friendly service and a good menu. I had a hamburger - nothing like the fare you get in the UK - while my wife and son had moules which went down very well. We enjoyed excellent wine and... More

.... with plenty of choice. I had roasted marrow bone as a starter! I think we paid about Eu 65 for 2 persons and a very good value bottle of rose. Spacious conservatory but could get a bit hot in summer. Service was good.

I have visited this restaurant several times now, twice with a group of ladies and several times with a friend. The staff are excellent, there are always lots of people eating there. Even on a dreary day, like today. My friend likes the razor shells and this is the reason he wants to return. Today there was an excellent dessert... More

Good location near the promenade, but not a great view. Food is excellent and service is good. Companions had plaice and steak. Dessert was tarte tatin. Wide range of entries on menu, and lots of seafood options.

We visit St Valery quite often and this has fast become one of our favourite places for lunch. Other reviewers have said this restaurant has changed hands in the last year or so and changed it's name too. Certainly we could see the decor has changed, it's been brought up to date a little more and is more comfy and... More

The food was tasty and well-presented; not the cheapest but in a convenient position near the waterfront and car parks, in a trouist town, it was reasonable value. We were in the conservatory at the front which was pretty warm, and only April - presumably they have some way of preventing customers getting heat-stroke later in the year. Some of... More

We went here without a reservation since it was opposite our hotel and wanted something else for dinner. There were several free tables but set for four or six, and at first they said they didn't have any free table, although they obviously did. Then they decided to break up one of the joint tables set for six and we... More
