We have been a number of times dogs always get welcomed first with a dog biscuit, before any other orders taken. Good choice of well kept beers, cask, keg & bottled, local beers & many Belgian beers. Food is of good quality & choice, owner will often visit bar, during evening , has always asked "Did the dogs get a... More

Very friendly and helpful staff. We arrived when they were serving 2 large parties and because we had to wait for our food order they provided us with lots of nibbles to keep us going. Even the dogs got special biscuit treats. Food was exceptionally good. Highly recommend the homemade burger meals!

If it's the start of our Easter holidays, it must be Andersons again. Why do we keep going back? It could be the welcome from Jim and his staff. It could be the wide range of drinks on offer. Or, it could be Anne's food, yet again superb. We visited for 2 consecutive nights at Easter, and again, were not... More

We had booked a table for 7 pm and were a bit worried when we arrived and there was no one to be seen. However our worry was unnecessary as two very pleasant staff arrived and we were given a warm welcome. The food was very good and the friendly duo did an excellent job of serving two separate rooms... More

Yet another visit to a great and quirky restaurant. We had our meals in the bar and went for the burger and chips with various fillings. As usual food never fails to disappoint and my husband was in his element with the real ales. He even had a go at the vast range of whiskeys on offer. We will be... More

Very good hotel and restaurant, Nice persoel and very good traditional scottish food. This hotel is old fashion and what you expect in Scotland. Close to one of the best places for spoting dolphins i Europe.

Really enjoyed our experience last week at the Anderson, even the owner came over to greet us (Well meet the dog really). Food was great, beer too. Friendly atmosphere. Dogs are allowed in one of the bars. More pubs should allow dogs!

We got here at 22:00 and were made very welcome. The vast arrange of local and foreign ales will keep the barmaid waiting patiently whilst you make your choice. The locals were happy to chat with us and this made it a feel good bar

Third visit here in three years and after two excellent experiences sadly disappointed Slow service, at least 45 minutes to wait for main courses then we had to eventually ask if they were taking orders for desserts! 'Suppose I could' was the reply. The bill even included drinks that did not have. Having enjoyed my two previous visits I'll not... More
