But if a last min decision to go out and booked a table for 1840. Promptly seated on a nice restaurant , clean , tastefully decorated and service was good. Drinks brought to the table, an excellent pint of Foghorn and a Gin for my...wife. We ordered Scotch Egg and Garlic Bread starters , both were hot and tasty then we both opted for pie , the Ox Cheek and Mushroom and Pulled Lamb shepherds pie respectively. Both were excellent and in my opinion the Ox Cheek pie was quite possibly the best I’ve ever had as the pastry was light , Jus was exceptional accompanied by perfect mash and vegetables. My wife really enjoyed the pulled lamb and we followed this with dessert. Portion sizes were good without feeling overfilled.
Good value and would definitely return.More
