We came here for lunch as we were staying nearby and we are really glad we did. The menu was varied and different, and the food was plentiful, tasty and great value so thank you. The staff were attentive and helpful; they were also extremely personable which made the time even more pleasurable. We would happily come back if we didn’t live 2 1/2 hours away!

Came here on a Saturday evening with my husband for a meal, our previous visit was last summer. The food and service is still fantastic. Staff are very welcome and friendly. The pub is quaint and charming. To start we had the Sharing Camembert and Pulled Pork Nachoes off of the specials menu. Both were superb. We both had the Bone Cruncher for mains which was ribs and chicken. You get a lot on your plate and I couldn’t finish it! So next time I probably will not have a starter. For dessert we both had the Strawberry Sundae (photo attached) off of the Specials menu which did not disappoint! It was lovely! The only critique from my husband was that there no craft beers available, only 2 ales (Young’s Bitter or Eagle IPA) on tap and standard lagers. Though for me there was a great Gin menu and Prosecco cocktails so I was happy! Total cost for the both of us for starters, main, dessert and two rounds of drinks was £70. Will definitely be returning in the near future.

Visited in a party of three for lunch. Warm friendly welcome from staff. Light airy restaurant, but décor and table equipment needs improvement. Small menu but good choices. Our party chose three different main dishes and we were all impressed with the excellent quality and portion sizes. Service was quick, however the restaurant wasn't busy. Small wine list but again good selection. Some of the wine prices are a little expensive for this type of establishment, Dessert menu very limited, but again what we had was excellent. Thoroughly recommend the White Horse for lunch and informal dining.

Into the slightly rolling countryside of Huntingdon and Northants It is a typical pub with a restaurant at the edge of a comfortable village The outside indicates the inside. The pub has had a good re-vamp. There is plenty of parking but not many cars Covid precautions are good Inside you can go inside the restaurant, which on a Friday lunch The menu is limited at this Covid time with the usual items. Service was very good and meals came quickly and hot The kitchen let the whole thing down. Chewy. The chicken was chewy. The batter around it was chewy. Later, the fish batter was chewy. A fine country pub to wander to on a Friday evening.

So sad to have to make such a negative review, having made such a positive one just a few weeks ago. We rebooked, as we enjoyed our meal so much a few weeks ago, and wanted to return. When we arrived, we saw people being served cauliflower cheese, as part of their Sunday roast, but when we asked what veg there was, we were told that they had run out of cauliflower cheese, but no change in the price or an addition, just the loss of a veg. We ordered fairly quickly, and yet we were not served, when others were served, arriving after us. We enquired what the problem was and we were told that our son's 'well done' steak took longer. When our food was delivered, I received the two thinnest slices of roast beef I have ever seen, with 10% fat and the vegetables were cold, literally. My Husband's veg was also cold. The steak was mostly fat and gristle for £23 and the veg was burnt. We will not be returning. Walking around a restaurant in chef whites, means you are taking responsibility for the food. Do not wear chef whites in the restaurant, if you are not the Head Chef or a chef at all. If you stand in a restaurant in your whites, you are taking the ultimate responsibility that you have approved the food in the kitchen that is being delivered. You should be checking the food thoroughly and returning anything not acceptable. Finally, to offer us a "pudding" (not "dessert") having not eaten at all, was the ultimate insult. We will not be back and will be telling our friends to ignore our earlier recommendations,

The white Horse has recently been re-furbished to a very high standard. The bars are spacious (especially the conservatory) and comfortable. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff who are all very welcoming and extremely pleasant. There is a large garden with swings and other items for kids of all ages although it was a rather wet Sunday when we visited so we stayed inside. There were two large parties in the conservatory with us but this didn’t throw the waiting staff off one little bit. BUT what is this obsession modern chefs seem to have with undercooking everything? I ordered roast beef with the usual Sunday Roast vegetables and roast potatoes etc. Now I’m not keen on soggy veg, but I honestly could not get a fork into my broccoli and the beef was not just pink, try as I might I could not cut it! The desserts arrived and were fine. Sorry, 10/10 for service but far less than that for an enjoyable meal.

Its been a long time since I visited this pub.... what a great place this is. We were greeted by Steve who promptly sat us in the conservatory which had a great ambiance. Our waitress leisha was so attentive and nothing was too much trouble. The food was amazing and piping hot. I would highly recommended this wonderful pub and the very covid aware staff 😀

Charming pub in the countryside outside Kimbolton. We stopped here for lunch after a weekend away & in all honesty I was disappointed with the food. 5 of us has the Roast Beef lunch as it so nicely described on the menu but in reality, it was 3/4 of a plate of food (not a lot of veg) & the beef itself was stringy & all of us left at least 1/2 of the meat as it was so difficult to cut. The last member of our party had the Duck which she enjoyed, all others around us seemed to be OK with their food, so the issue probably is restricted to the roast lunch.

Average at best all round. Onion rings very greasy, but nice light batter. 2 Steaks ordered, 1 “med to well no blood” was served with blood. It had to go back to the kitchen. 1 ordered “med to rare” was served just missing a pulse! It too had to go back to the kitchen. Steaks were ok, but chewy by the time they returned. Chips were nice. Chipped cup, with tea. Poor dinners/steak and little attention to detail on a quiet evening, no offers of discount on the bill. Would not recommend or return.

We were a party of 6 friends. The staff were very polite and professional, The food was cooked well and very tasty. Everyone enjoyed the starters. Two of us had steak, which was cooked as requested. Three had the fish and chips with crushed peas, which added nothing to the dish, The last person had the haloumi kebab, which was, by all accounts very tasty. Overall the evening was very pleasant, the food was tasty and not overly expensive. The only disappointment was the limited menu, although we all found something we liked.

Visited with my family for my birthday. Staff exceptional. Could not fault the service. Hoever the food was disappointing . The batter on the prawns was too thick and pretty tasteless. We had the lobster which was on special. I think due to the consistency and tough lobster it was from the freezer which was a shame. I should have asked if it was fresh. The rest had burgers which they loved . Shame as I have heard such good things about the white horse and came away very dissappointed. Maybe ordered the wrong thing. On the next table the cod with mussels looked lovely. Will I give it another go? Probably as staff were so good and although very noisy in the conservatory would try again but check on ordering if food is fresh or frozen. Just a note my husband is hard of hearing and struggled to hear us above the noise so maybe try the bar area with less tables and people.

I am not one who normally bothers giving reviews but I am happy to make an exception in the case of the White Horse. Seven of us were attending a family funeral in Tilbrook and arrived in the area earlier than anticipated. With minimal notice the White Horse was able to accommodate us on what would have been a usually quiet Tuesday lunchtime. The food and service was excellent.

A lovely old coaching inn where a relaxing evening was had with a patio area overlooking fields. The sunset was amazing. With a cosy bar and ample space in the dining areas, the atmosphere was great. Although the choices on the menu wasn't massive, there were plenty of options nevertheless. The food we ordered was plentiful and came quickly. The chicken liver pate was gorgeous and was served on a bed of sweet pickle and sour bread toast. All the staff were pleasant, polite and attentive, especially the manager. Would highly recommend a visit here.

Lovely food, great decor, friendly service, good value. We booked on a whim as was nearby, absolutely delighted with our choice. I an a fan of burgers but this was exceptionally made, accompanied by really tasty chips and a great desert. Not great if you need gluten free as chips/fish cooked in a fryer used for Gluten, but other great options available.

Came as part of a surprise birthday party for Sunday lunch. We received a warm and friendly welcome, and the Inn was really busy, a good sign, but no way did this impede the excellent and attentive service we received. The food was excellent and of good quality, and quantity! Our waitress even popped a birthday candle on the birthday girl's dessert and along with a colleague sang Happy Birthday, well we all joined in, of course. Very thoughtful. Yes, a really good lunch, and can be recommended.
