Lovely staff but the 9£ scotch egg was tiny , hardly any sausage meat and very disappointed for the money , just egg and breadcrumbs . Have had “home made “ scotch eggs before and this was certainly not that . Better from Tesco !

Fantastic lunch today at The White Horse? My starter of garlic mushrooms in toast with a poached egg on top was one of the nicest starters I have had in a while! And the beef pie was to die for. Absolutely delicious food. All 4...of us were blown away by the quality of the food and the great prices. We ate in The Snug and it was perfect - warm and cosy on a cold November day! The staff were all lovely and we would have no hesitation in recommending this pub and plan to visit again soon!More

We were a family of 22 (5 children) on 28th October, as a large party we pre-ordered our meals & they were all absolutely delicious, pies & fish & chips were popular. Every dish was served promptly & piping hot, the staff were so efficient...& friendly, we couldn’t have asked for more. We were seated in the conservatory which had ample room & a lovely setting. We would like to thank you for helping make a surprise birthday meal completely perfect. Highly recommended by us all.More

But if a last min decision to go out and booked a table for 1840. Promptly seated on a nice restaurant , clean , tastefully decorated and service was good. Drinks brought to the table, an excellent pint of Foghorn and a Gin for my...wife. We ordered Scotch Egg and Garlic Bread starters , both were hot and tasty then we both opted for pie , the Ox Cheek and Mushroom and Pulled Lamb shepherds pie respectively. Both were excellent and in my opinion the Ox Cheek pie was quite possibly the best I’ve ever had as the pastry was light , Jus was exceptional accompanied by perfect mash and vegetables. My wife really enjoyed the pulled lamb and we followed this with dessert. Portion sizes were good without feeling overfilled. Good value and would definitely return.More

Hadn’t visited for sometime so went for Sunday lunch. Pretty busy but seated promptly and staff were welcoming friendly and efficient. The beef was nicely pink with a good big yorky pudd, serving a jug of hot gravy separately was also appreciated. Sticky toffee pudd...was also good. Would perhaps have preferred a little more veg and a little less roast potatoes but that’s just a personal choice. We enjoyed our visit.More

Last minute booking for lunch and arrived on time. Friendly welcome and bagged a table outside, clear blue sky, table in sun and shade, perfect. Ordered drinks with two lots fish and chips along with a bbq ribs. Fish and chips great portions and lovely...food. Bbq ribs with an Asian slaw were amazing, two racks, about 12 ribs, falling off the bone. Desserts of lemon meringue pie and sticky toffee pudding finished off a lovely meal. Great friendly service too Looking forward to returning next week. EnjoyMore

I don’t look for these as I’m not ellergic to anything. In view of the dangers associated with eating gluten if your intolerance is real I would suggest that you do not risk eating out ever. Better safe than sorry.😊
