I’m normally skeptical about establishments that do several-course “deals”, you tend to get what you pay … not here, not tonight anyway!
The food was absolutely fabulous! So fresh, so ‘spicy’ … the king prawn purée was simply full of tasty king prawns, the butter chicken was simply rammed full of buttery chicken, the rice wasn’t greasy & the cheese-naan was simply oozing fresh-cheese
Big hand to the chef and the cooking team; decent service and if you wanted in/out fairly quickly they didn’t mess-around; the ambience could have been a little less-brightly lit but not so bad for a sizeable place … 10/10 food, 10/10 value-for-money on their Sunday-to-Thursday “deal”
We’re going back again next week, going with family this time 👍

We always come to the aura, the staff are lovely the food never disappoints and the prices are hard to beat. We have tried other places and they have either been double the price, half the food or the food has been bland. Stick to what you know I say and you can’t go wrong here.

The food was really enjoyable but the service left something to be desired. They were didn’t seem too bothered about seating us and weren’t very good at explaining the special offer to us. They got the order wrong we got one of the dishes as chicken instead of lamb and the wine was rose instead of white. To be fair we didn’t ask for it to be changed as we were ok with what had been given to us . They rushed us through the courses but they weren’t particularly busy the restaurant was less than a third full. I might just stick to takeaway in future

Recently moved to Aldridge , so we are working through all the Indian restaurants in the village, to find witch one is best. We were "welcomed" by a waiter with a straight face, and served by 4 more staff throughout our meal without a smile between them. We had the special 4 course deal, but were told we had to pay cash ,as if we paid by card it would be £1 more each. The poppadoms were served with sauces, they were all delicious, but the onion salad needed some coriander leaves. Our plates were taken away, then about 2 minutes later, the starters
arrived ! These were all very nice, but , again the salad garnish needed a bit more love , rather than a bit of lettuce, 1 slice of tomato & lemon. The plates were taken away & we couldn't believe it , but a couple of minutes later, out came the mains !!!
No one asked if we were ready for them as we would have said, give us 10 mins for the starters to digest. The mains were perfectly acceptable, I've had better, but I've had a lot worse. The waiter took the plates away, & asked us if we wanted a Baileys, but by this time we just felt that they wanted us out, so we asked for the bill, paid and left , with not one waiter thanking us for our custom or if we had enjoyed our meals. Even though the food was very nice, all 4 of said we wouldnt return , because of the staffs attitude and the way the food was rushed. Its not like the place was packed , it was a Tuesday, and there was plenty of empty seats. I hope their management read this, & have a staff meeting on hosting skills !

Unfortunately I cannot comment on the food as I did not stay long enough to try it, this was because of the experience we endured during the first five minutes of our visit......yes, it was an endurance.
We entered the restaurant and there were no other customers there, the one staff member we saw was sat at a table at the back, he looked up and then chose to completely ignore us.
A second staff member was bottling up, he also ignored us until we said hello and then very grudgingly came over to us.
We asked to sit in a specific place to which we were told 'no', by ways of a grunt. Once we were sat the menu's were practically thrown at us and we were growled at that if we wanted seafood or king prawns there would be a £4 supplement. He then just strode off with a very unhappy face.
That was enough for me, if that's how they welcome customers then I wasn't interested in actually giving them my custom. The food might have been the best i have ever had but I will never know as I will never darken their doorstep again.

Booked for Christmas dinner, not very festive not very well organised, very average food ( not to the usual standard) and as the waiter said” you know it’s only a 2 hour sitting” the more we get in and out the more money we make….. yep that was how it started! The children’s meal was actually good, however the rest was very average, the “ boss” spent most of the sitting on his calculator tapping away apart when he challenged us over a meal issue! Couldn’t wait to get home to try and rescue what was left of Xmas!

I must point out to begin with that we have been coming to Aura for many years and have celebrated many occasions during this time, but unfortunately on the last 3 occasions we have been disappointed..and were hoping that it was just a one off,so we returned for a birthday meal in May and again, not good..and again last night for another birthday meal with friends, and yet again it was not good at all..
Chicken tikka was dry and very small portions, the sheek kebab meat was extremely dry, mixed grill main was like a starter no lamb or prawn on it,very dry..
Other mains were curry and 3 of these were served warm and not piping hot as you would expect, only 1 of the curry mains was enjoyed,we had to ask for the rice we had ordered...
The welcoming atmosphere appears to have disappeared in what has always been fantastic in years gone by..
So Aura,we are sorry to say that unfortunately we will not be returning but we wish you well and thank you for the times we have had with you...

Despite having a poor experience a while ago which I expressed to the manager on arrival , explaining that I was willing to give the restaurant another try, he remained hostile and disgruntled which displayed in his mood and attitude. I repeatedly apologised but there was no breaking his mood, on that basis will never return again this restaurant did not deserve our custom and on that basis will be not returning again. I don't go out and spend good money to be treated like I don't deserve to be there. Furthermore went to disabled toilet to find member of staff outside having just used it, really don't expect staff and customers to be using same toilets! What a poor experience!

We usually use another local Indian restaurant/ takeaway, however decided to give Aura a try. Sadly we cannot comment on the quality of the food as we didn’t get to try it. We ordered our food just after 5:30 (literally as soon as they opened) by 7pm we were still waiting!
We called to enquire where our food was & was told it was coming. Unfortunately 20 mins later it still hadn’t arrived; we ended up having to get food from elsewhere.
We completely understand a venue can be busy & there can be unexpected issues that arise, but surely you communicate with your customer. Worst of all when we called to see what was happening with our order, the guy on the phone sounded like he couldn’t care less.
Perhaps eating in is a better experience, we’ll never know though as their poor customer service means we won’t be trying it again.

We visited the restaurant as it was highly recommended by family and friends. I attended with my partner and two young children. The meal was lovley and I have no complaints about the food. Like any young children they where happy enjoying trying new foods and slightly over excited. Everywhere i looked the staff were staring at us which themln made me feel quiet uncomfortable. Once we finished they came to move our plate and a mlmber of staff asked if we was finished in which I replied yeah and his response was thank god for that. I found this highly rude if you don't want childeren there then advertise as adults only. This has but a complet dampner on our experience and we're very reluctant to return.

Went with my wife on Thursday at 6pm , met with a warm welcome at this time the restaurant was fairly quiet but when we left at 745pm it was full. The menu was very extensive, we had the special £10.90 3 course meal. We had a starter and a balti for main, the service was excellent and so was the food and there was plenty of it. The ambiance was good and everywhere was clean. I watched the restaurant fill up and the staff was very attentive to everyone. This was our first time here and we will definitely return.

We were recently recommended to visit Aura by people we met at another Aldridge restaurant Da Vince’s.
On our fist visit to Aura we were not disappointed.
We found the restaurant ambiance to our liking with a nice relaxed atmosphere, friendly and attentive staff.
The meals were very hot and tasty and service and speed of service all good.
We will return.
Top tip. While we visited on a Friday night I could not help but notice the “special deal” for Sunday to Thursday which would have given us more than a 25% saving on our meal.

Great place for a night out, but I've given up with delivery. Last 3 times items missing from order I had no main course first time and subsiquently no rice last 2 times. More annoying is that the attempts to rectify the issue by the staff are suprisingly poor, last night I was told they were sorry and they would send me some in (get this) 40 minutes.
What use is that?
Come on guys this is THREE times on the trot and who wants a curry without rice??

Hi Nigel, very very sorry to hear about your experience with us. I can understand your frustration and would like to deeply apologise as this is not up to standard. Please feel free to call the landline and speak to Jay or Raj and we will be happy to replace a complimentary meal for you. Sorry once again.
Many thanks

This is my second time that I have been to this restaurant and I can’t express enough how fabulous the food, staff and service was! I requested a spicy dish and Jay recommended the Spicy Railway Lamb which tasted absolutely delicious. During this moment of time, I can say the restaurant was being kept clean at all times and all members of staff were compliant with government guidleines. Jay also threw in a free drink, he really looks after his regulars and I can definitely say that this is by far the best restaurant in Aldridge.
