Unfortunately I cannot comment on the food as I did not stay long enough to try it, this was because of the experience we endured during the first five minutes of our visit......yes, it was an endurance. We entered the restaurant and there were no...other customers there, the one staff member we saw was sat at a table at the back, he looked up and then chose to completely ignore us. A second staff member was bottling up, he also ignored us until we said hello and then very grudgingly came over to us. We asked to sit in a specific place to which we were told 'no', by ways of a grunt. Once we were sat the menu's were practically thrown at us and we were growled at that if we wanted seafood or king prawns there would be a £4 supplement. He then just strode off with a very unhappy face. That was enough for me, if that's how they welcome customers then I wasn't interested in actually giving them my custom. The food might have been the best i have ever had but I will never know as I will never darken their doorstep again.More
Had dinner with a friend on a Monday night. £10.90 for 2 courses and sides. We were very impressed. Food was delicious plenty of it and very nicely presented. It really was one of the best Indian restaurants I’ve visited in a while. Great service...and excellent value for money, which seems rare these days.More
Aura is always welcoming for any occasion. All ages including small children. Very hospitable. Value for money especially the deal available. The jalfrazi and balti especially, is amazing.. They new menu is just brilliant. They adapt our orders if need to. Best by far. Takes...alot to beat.. only one other restaurant comes close but we wont say which one.. really clean. Our family absolutely loves the place. Food is generally a delight. Which ever you order. Definitely recommend 10/10More
This is by far the best Indian restaurant in Aldridge! The food is fabulous and good value for money. The service is timely and well organised. I’m a regular visitor here maybe twice per month with different friend groups. But … oh dear what was...wrong with the waiters last night? No greeting no smiles no thank yous 😫 Please cheer up guys we know you work hard. You have already earned our loyalty and on the plus side you will be able to retire one day thanks to us xxMore
Fantastic food one of the best curry’s I’ve eaten in a long time. Chicken tikka sag balti madras hot is a must. Great service too
The food was really enjoyable but the service left something to be desired. They were didn’t seem too bothered about seating us and weren’t very good at explaining the special offer to us. They got the order wrong we got one of the dishes as...chicken instead of lamb and the wine was rose instead of white. To be fair we didn’t ask for it to be changed as we were ok with what had been given to us . They rushed us through the courses but they weren’t particularly busy the restaurant was less than a third full. I might just stick to takeaway in futureMore
We always go to this Indian, every Saturday night as a family we meet at the parents house and have an Indian! Always from here! The best around! I live in Stroud and my partner and I still say this is the best! Great food,...great service and value for money Thanks Guys LucyMore
We usually use another local Indian restaurant/ takeaway, however decided to give Aura a try. Sadly we cannot comment on the quality of the food as we didn’t get to try it. We ordered our food just after 5:30 (literally as soon as they opened)...by 7pm we were still waiting! We called to enquire where our food was & was told it was coming. Unfortunately 20 mins later it still hadn’t arrived; we ended up having to get food from elsewhere. We completely understand a venue can be busy & there can be unexpected issues that arise, but surely you communicate with your customer. Worst of all when we called to see what was happening with our order, the guy on the phone sounded like he couldn’t care less. Perhaps eating in is a better experience, we’ll never know though as their poor customer service means we won’t be trying it again.More
The food here is delicious. They have a great range of dishes available to cater for everyone. Service is attentive and friendly. Very good value.
Takeaways have been devine they are absolutely delicious! The staff always seem friendly Only let down was one chicken dish had a few bones but the sauce and sides made up for it! Would definitely recommend
Our meal was nice, but service slow, waited for 1 hr after our starter for our main meal. Also offered us a complimentary brandy and baileys but didn't come even reminding waiter.
Very tasty food and excellent service, we eat here a lot as this is by far the best Indian in Aldridge. Mid week deal for £10.90 helps alot at this time of crisis. Thanks jay for looking after us
Excellent food and great service, we have been made welcome from start to finish, well done Jay. Keep up the good work. We will be back
We were recently recommended to visit Aura by people we met at another Aldridge restaurant Da Vince’s. On our fist visit to Aura we were not disappointed. We found the restaurant ambiance to our liking with a nice relaxed atmosphere, friendly and attentive staff. The...meals were very hot and tasty and service and speed of service all good. We will return. Top tip. While we visited on a Friday night I could not help but notice the “special deal” for Sunday to Thursday which would have given us more than a 25% saving on our meal.More
