Sunday lunch was tasty, 2 had pork which looked lovely, 2 had beef which was tasty. Its a shame that during this traumatic time we could not get to choose our food at the buffets which used to be lovely. There was a good variety of veg, roast potatoes ( would have like mash but not given choice). Child offered small size dinner, she doesn't eat meat but was give a dinner with vegetarian sausages which we didnt ask for but never mind the dog got a treat when we got home. It was very busy so service was slow they did apologise for the delays between courses and taking drinks orders but to be honest it didnt spoil the experience. Appeared to be good safety measures in place.

We decided to camp here due to a family connection with Bourne. The campsite has electric hook ups but no other real facilities and may be a more appropriate option for a caravan than the tent we took. However we were more than welcome to use the toilets in the pub which was available from fairly early in the morning. This wasn't really a problem for us but I wouldn't want to stay for longer than a weekend due to the lack of washing facilities. This is completely reflected in the price which was extremely reasonable. Also the campsite is beautiful. We were lucky with the weather but saw lots of stars due to the lack of light pollution. A real treat. When we arrived on Friday evening we ate at the pub. The food was genuinely excellent and reasonably priced. The halloumi fries were the best I've ever had and the spaghetti bolognese was delicious and the children ate it up. We ate again for sunday lunch. Again the food was lovely. So the campsite was lovely and the food was great. But the thing that stood out and the reason that we will definitely return is the service. Nothing was too much trouble for Sav and his team. They weren't overbearing but we always felt looked after. From colouring books and pencils for the children to the use of plastic glasses so we could take drinks to the campsite there was nothing they didn't offer to help. The quality of the food was very high and the setting glorious. Thank you so much for giving us an excellent weekend away.

The new management took over The Wishing Well (a lovely country pub with oak beams galore), in early July and opened in early August, (very brave after the natonal covid lock down!). My wife and I booked in for 2 nights. On arrival we were warmly greeted by the attractive and vivacious, Elsie, and shown to our room. The room was clean and cosy, with nice white fluffy towels in the toilet/shower room. We had 2 evening meals there meals there - both of which were well presented and delicious, and served by very friendly and efficient staff. Philip was particularly friendly. We understood when we booked that breakfast was continental (Fine! We have had some lovely continental breakfasts elsewhere.). On the first morning we ate (by request) in the pub. Nothing was set out. We were brought toast and croissants, and then asked if we wanted any cereal!, For the second morning`s breakfast, after our evening meal, we were given a brown paper bag each with orange juice, crisps and croissants in. What a let down! My wife and I would love to stay here again and are "wishing" that Sav and team will take the provision of breakfast, much more seriously, and get it "well" sorted!

Booked a meal for 8pm but had a 30 min wait for our drinks order which I thought was okay as they were busy. The manager gave us a bottle of wine to apologise for the wait but when we finally placed our food order an hour later, as they seemed to have forgotten us, they didn't have the items on menu we wanted so we had to quickly change and then it was at least another 40 minutes until the food arrived with no cutlery nor sauces offered. My meal was definitely not my liking but the others seemed ok. My ravioli cost over £12 but I could not eat it. Not good service and disappointing

Very disappointed. Started off with being charged more for a lime and soda than my friends cola. It used to be that I was charged just for a dash of lime. Here it’s £1 for a dash of lime and £1 for water. We waited an hour for food, 2 plates arrived at the table- one put in front of a friend the other taken straight back , then they came and took her plate away even though she’d started eating from it!!! Another friend wanted the liver and was told they had sold out , so she only had a starter. The food when it arrived was tasty but expensive when compared to other pubs in the area. Won’t be returning.

Decided to go for a meal last minute and wanted to try somewhere new but away from a town or city due to coronavirus. Had driven past this place the day before so decided to give it a try. The food was very good and the service from everyone was friendly from the minute we arrived to the minute we left. There’s a limited menu atm which is to be expected and the owners are new and finding their feet a little bit we will definitely return

We went to the Wishing Well on 10th Feb (wedding anniversary), we have been there several times before, I think this is the first time under the new management. Staff were all very polite and friendly, when we went in we were immediately greeted and shown to our table. There's only two reasons I'm not rating 'very good' 1. We were never offered the specials menu. I agree its on a board as you go in but we just didn't notice it. Had we have seen or been offered the specials menu we would probably have ordered differently. Having said that the food we had was very nice. 2. The Toasted bread with the prawn cocktail was tooth breakingly hard. The thing about complaining about something like that is that often it results in one person being left with their starter/main course to eat while the other is waiting for the meal to be brought back. We chose not to say anything because honestly it didn't really spoil the meal. The mushy peas I was served with the Cod I ordered looked a bit runny but I must say they were absolutely delicious. We had a lovely evening and thank you for that. I don't like mentioning negatives but if no one mentions it there is no chance for invoking a change to improve things. We will go to the Wishing Well again (soon) and have to say that it is one of the best pub meals we have had in this area for quite some time.

This is our first visit to the Wishing Well but it won’t be our last. We stopped for Sunday dinner with our dog. It was a beautiful day so we sat in their vast garden which overlooks rolling countryside- very peaceful and relaxing. The waiter took our order but also brought a water bowl and produced a treat for the dog. My son had the three meat roast- Turkey, pork and beef and I had beef. It was absolutely delicious served hot and with a good selection of veg. As the desserts were not priced extortionately we treated ourselves to an Eton Mess and Lemon Posset- both superb. We had a fantastic experience and will certainly return

I arrived late afternoon and stayed overnight prior to and early morning start for a wildlife venture, leaving before the start of breakfast delivery. The evening meal was very tasty and the service excellent. The rooms were comfortable enough for a short stay of a few days, and as important, it was quite. A take away breakfast bag was provided with a variety of goodies therein. Arriving at my destination early the following morning I was horrified to find that I was missing my reading specs, presumably left in the room. A telephone call to The Wishing Well that evening located them and they were returned to me by special delivery within two days. Thank you Sav and the team, great service. I hope to return again in the near future.

The food is atrocious and the place is so loud to eat. It is not a place you can go to and have a nice relaxing meal. Went for the Sunday roast, and the plates were disgusting and not cleaned properly, the bar staff are really grumpy and do not have good customer skills. The only saving grace for this place was the waiting staff who were so sweet, and always quick to help and lay the table. They do such a fab job in such a horrendous environment. The beer also tasted off. I would not recommend going there unless you like a nice chat with your waitress.

Our first visit for Sunday lunch for a couple of years - what a delight!! Sav and his lovely team are professional, very attentive, smiles all round. We chose beef; served on a hot plate with homemade Yorkshire pudding, stuffing, roast potatoes, roast parsnip, carrot garnish and gravy. This was accompanied by a dish of hot veg; carrot batons, garden peas and cauliflower cheese with additional gravy. Everything was beautifully cooked and very well presented- thanks to the chef his team. A varied dessert menu, spoilt for choice!!! Lovely atmosphere, very busy dining service yet we weren’t rushed. A complimentary drink for my birthday was a lovely gesture. Great to see local businesses thriving 👏👏👏

Since my last review on 10th Feb we have been back to the Wishing Well twice, both times the food and service have been excellent. Food was beautifully cooked and presented and very tasty. We will be going back again as its nice to have re-found a place to go to eat that is relatively close that is really nice and not a chain restaurant. We are both pescatarians and there is always a choice of a three or four meals that would suit us.

The Wishing Well is one of those Country pubs with rooms that has had deservedly a mixed past. We have been going off and on for a few years and at times it was very good and then within weeks be fairly poor. Under new management it seems to be on a distinctly upward trend. I have been recently and enjoyed a very good eating experience. However I can add that a growing number of friends and family are visiting and commenting very favourably about their experience including the Friday Pizza night. I also understand that the managers are co-operating more effectively with many of the Dyke residents to provide a village experience over the recent Jubilee weekend. Well worth a visit to the pub in a beautiful country pub in a lovely little village.

We have eaten here several times since Phil, Laura and Sal took up the management. They have done a fantastic job to what was a tired village pub. The pizzas (made with glee by Phil in his sweltering wood-fired pizza van) are excellent, as was the bar meal we enjoyed on another occasion. However, they outdid themselves when we asked them to host a meal the night before our wedding. We were a party of 21 and they laid on a superb spread; the starter alone could have fed us all twice over; a delicious antipasto with extremely high quality ingredients. The main course was a choice of sea bass, chicken or steak. The steak was beautifully cooked and the meal drew praise from all the guests. Of note, a few weeks earlier I"d popped in late one evening to collect my other half. A guest was staying with her young daughter who had forgotten her tooth brush. Without being asked, Laura drove to a local convenience store to get her one; service above and beyond the call. If you enjoy excellent service with food to match, then drop in to the Wishing Well.

First time at The Wishing Well Inn, met 2 friends here for lunch. Under new management as of today. Good Covid 19 measures with social distancing, hand sanitisers, masks etc. understandably a limited menu due to current Covid issues, but we each were able to choose from a good selection. Friendly attentive staff, lovely atmosphere and good food, will definitely be back
