This is a lovely little pub and judging by the number of drinkers and diners, the management have got the balance just right. Good choice of beers, lovely menu and friendly staff. Definitely one I shall return to.

We've been trying to book this place for ages. You just couldn't get in for love nor money so when we were told back in March that the pub was changing hands we thought 'hello, hello. It's all downhill from now'. How little did we...More

A lovely intimate pub with a good menu and warm welcome. I recently visited the Red Lion with my family and parents for a Saturday lunch, and we all thoroughly enjoyed it. The menu is wide, and it was difficult to choose which meal to...More

Stopped at this pub with friends yesterday for lunch. We all had a Sunday roast and it was amazing. So much so that none of us had any food left on our plates, so needless to say we had to have puddings as well. Would...More

As a traditional British country pub we specialise in high quality home cooked meals. Our standard menu includes old favourites such as steak and ale pie, haddock and chips, sirloin or rib eye steak and this is supplement these with interesting specials from all different styles of cooking. One of our chefs is a vegetarian and this helps us ensure there is a good variety of vegetarian options available at all times. As a true public house we also have a healthy local drinking custom which ensures the true authentic atmosphere of a British Village Public House.
