A group of us dropped in for some lunch and all ordered haddock and chips. The fish were all overcooked and the chips were soggy. Come on guys, get your act together for this basic dish and provide crisp, dry chips as well. The staff...More

Sorry, but you've got the wrong place - The Ship Inn has got excellent, modern toilet facilities which are kept immaculately clean and fresh by our diligent housekeeping staff - you must be confusing us with another hostelry. I have asked Tripadvisor to remove this...More

Had a great lunch today. We went specifically for the mussels & frites but unfortunate they didn’t have any mussels today. Chose the Sirloin, gammon steak, chicken tenders and steak pie. All were excellent and the dog enjoyed what little we shared!

We allow well behaved dogs in the bar. They should be on a lead and stay on the floor - not on the seats.
