Had a lovely Sunday Lunch at this quayside pub, we both went for the Sunday roast which was very tasty with a good portion of meat and a large variety of vegetables which left no room for dessert - strongly recommend

This is a popular pub with good food, only 3 bedrooms and you can hear the bar from the rooms. The clock on the old school is noticeable all through the night but we liked it. A stunning view in the morning across the crouch. An excellent breakfast for guests only. The beds were very comfortable but the hot tap... More

Called into the Anchor for Sunday Lunch after watching some brave souls dinghy racing on the Crouch, on a cold, grey, very windy day. The welcome was very friendly and after ordering drinks and opening up a tab we were asked to find a table and note it's number. There is a limited menu available but we opted for Sunday... More

Visited the Anchor for lunch today- it was fabulous. I had the fish and chips which cost £7.95. The fish was in lovely crispy batter and was large and filling. The chips may have been frozen but there were plenty of them and they were well cooked. It all came served fresh and hot by friendly and helpful waitresses. Other... More

We stayed at the hotel after being at a party nearby. We had the best room, four poster bed which was lovely and clean and very comfortable. The room needs a bit of TLC but apart from that it was fine. We had a lovely breakfast, the table was set up nicely, plenty of butter and jams etc which normally... More

Amazing food - probably one of the best roast dinners I've had for a long time. The beef was perfectly cooked and staff very friendly. What more could you ask for on Sunday afternoon.

With a lovely location on The Quay you would expect some effort would go into the food served. My friend and I had come to Burnham for a walk and had an overwhelming desire for Sunday Lunch and as luck would have the Anchor had it on the menu for £7.95 . We duly ordered Roast Beef. The whole meal... More

Terrible food, raw burgers, long wait for food when pub wasn't even busy, multi coloured peas, deep fried, bad produce, not fresh. Only good thing about this pub was the waitress who dealt with our complaint in a professional pleasant manner.
