My daughter took me out for lunch for a birthday treat. I really like this pub the fire was going it was a warm and friendly atmosphere. I have been for lunch twice this month and would recommend it. I had a fabulous steak.

Could not fault our Sunday lunch yesterday. It was excellent. Lovely atmosphere in there as well and the staff were all friendly and on the ball. Top marks again.

This is my view of the bar, not the restaurant. The renovation is evidently designed to be upmarket/trendy/gastropub/hipster......think Southwark or Brooklyn. The clientele in the bar wouldn't have noticed if it was spit and sawdust. The staff are efficient; the gastropub beers are expensive and bland, at best. I was there on Friday 7.00pm...14 people, four dogs. The acoustics are... More

visited here with a large group, this was no problem for the restaurant. The food arrived swiftly and the dishes were enjoyed by all. It is lacking in choices on the menu though, it is very limited. Portions are great, they serve a cracking pint (best in the area - recommend the Hop House 13) definitely will return soon, hopefully... More

Although there was a private function going on which slowed the service, we were warned of it when we arrived. The food was worth the wait, and the atmosphere is charming. Would definitely return.

Me and my partner moved to the area quite recently and have been looking for somewhere decent to drink and eat 'proper' fresh food. We found this place by chance (we live in Broughton) and were impressed by the standard of food and have since regularly visited. The back restaurant area provides a pleasant atmosphere and, so far, all the... More

We have eaten here before and enjoyed the food. Sunday night was no exception. I had fish pie and my husband ordered the beef and mushroom. I was pleased that the fish pie did not contain prawns. The sauce was just the right amount and the potato topping was a work of art ! The beef pie came with a... More

Hugely disappointing. For around £5 a pint and £14 for burger and chips you expect high end dining. The food was cold and the chips raw in the middle with tiny portions. I'd have sent the food back in the works canteen. The waitress asked as she cleared if all was OK and after hearing how poor we'd found our... More

We live locally and have always loved The Glynne as a relaxing place to have a drink with friends and family and also to eat superb food. Yesterday we brought some of our Canadian relatives to The Glynne and after travelling round the UK and visiting a number of pubs and restaurants they said that this was the best one... More

Food... Can't say a bad word about. The entire place looks great and traditional themed. Only downside was we were sat on a table very close to other tables, the three tables were practically talking over each other. Not as if it was too busy to spread out. Would like to go again because the menu was good, same owners... More
