This cafe is excellent. My grandson thinks it is the best. I had cottage pie with green beans and carrots which was lovely. My grandson had a storm trouper ice cream. The staff are very friendly. It is situated next to the old stocks in the market place.

Went to the 'Supper Club' event where the food served was amazing. We received a very warm welcome from the new owner and were treated to four courses all of which were home made. The starter was butternut squash soup with a chorizo crumb, followed by goats cheese, beetroot and walnut salad, a main course of chicken in a cider... More

Wow! Since being under new management this place has catapulted itself into a fantastic place to meet, eat and enjoy some time out and about! The full English breakfast is a delicious treat, black pudding done beautifully.......and there is nothing to fault with the other items on the menu. Plenty of choice for vegetarians and an emphasis on fresh and... More

Heard it was reopening under new management so thought I'd pop in! Brilliant service, friendly staff and wonderful food! Had a tasty bacon barm with a latte and some cake that my son left! It was absolutely delicious! Will definitely be returning with the Hubby this weekend!

Visited Stocks cafe for lunch today after visiting a near by attraction. Cafe has just re-opened under new owners. Wonderful sandwich and cake, absolutely delicious. Very reasonably priced as well. Would definitely recommend and will be visiting again if we are back in the area soon.

Popped in with a friend for pot of tea and toasted tea cakes. Looked like a handy little place to meet up and I'd read some good reviews. Didn't think there was much you could do to toasted tea cakes, I was wrong the tea cake was dry and flavourless possibly stale, tea ok. I did mention it when paying... More

Called for a quick sausage bap: ok but not the quality of sausage that used to be. Not been for a while but suspect new management. Place fairly grotty and the extractor fans where not used. Would go back? No, not really.
