Love this place. If I wanted to take someone to a classic old Britsh pub I would bring them here. Built in the 1500's this place is beautiful old inn. Huge real fires dominate the 2 main rooms making this place super cosy in winter....More

Great but gets very busy. Not ideal for pushchair to get through. Looks beautiful at Christmas time. Xxxxxxxxxx

We called on New Years Day for an evening meal & were given a very friendly greeting by the bar staff. The food is good, wholesome pub grub so don’t go expecting Michelin Star cuisine. The cask ales were very good as was the Pinot.

Stopped here for late lunch after a walk over Mam Tor. Lovely country pub, welcoming to muddy walkers and children! Great selection of drinks, varied food menu and very good service throughout. All the food was fantastic, I couldn't decide so shared half the huge...More

Friendly service Reasonable choice of beers Sensible portion sizes Value for money However - Hot food should be served on hot plates. My main and dessert were on cold plates which spoil any hot meal. Pork belly with no crispy skin just gelatinous and unpleasant.

Hi Sorry you wereen't 100% satisfied, as I put on the other review you left to the same end, we do normally serve hot food on hot plates so I apologise and your feedback will be passed on to the kitchen staff. Rachel

Ate here twice whilst staying in Edale. The food is delicious, and portions are very generous, just what you need after a day walking! Would definitely recommend.

We were a group of 14 and thought we should try out this place as it's recommended to us by the holiday home we rented out. We got in touch early to book for a table at noon on a Sunday and even pre-ordered, but...More

Hi Sorry you were disappointed. Most people who order the mushrooms enjoy them, but of course each to their own. We're sorry it took a while to get the food out to you, we always do our best to not keep people waiting too long,...More
